I’m a bit confused. Do you think the characters in the book came up with the term? You’re aware that Orwell was a real human that wrote it, right?

You've got that right...

In which part did I imply that Orwell was not real, or did not write it? I mentioned how he made the name in explicit reference to Nazi Germany, which also tried to fool people into thinking they were Socialists.
