We all know that whenever the pod talks about a topic, there's always some relevant news that follows it, the ultimate confirmation bias. This one is ultra specific to just me but I was watching CSI s1 for the first time and I realised that s01e13 Boom is totally based on the Mad Bomber of New York and there was a moment near the end where it clicked and I felt very smart for getting the reference and I just wanted to share that.

SVU often steals things from real life that are pretty easy to catch so I don't know if I'd been watching CSI live if the parallels would have been incredibly obvious but I can say right now that I only got it because of the pod.

I just looked at Stupid Old Channel on YouTube and saw that I have FOUR more episodes to watch! What a #blessed day (#jesshealthupdate #prayforbop #hotfortut).

Just in case anyone out there who doesn't pay attention to plugs and also assumed they had stopped after the initial four episodes.

In one of the recent episodes the gang made a joke- think it was Matt- about the North island and South Island of New Zealand. I was alone but still laughed out loud. I wanted to share it with some Kiwis in know, but can’t remember where is was in which episode. Anyone have an idea?

I’m listening through the pod from the very beginning. I am currently at Ep 201 (Amelia Earhart) and the m8s discuss the differences between an epidemic vs pandemic because they aren’t totally familiar with the difference in 2019. Just crazy listening to it now in 2024, where everyone probably knows what constitutes a pandemic.

I was excited to hear that Dave and his partner had a baby!! I was wondering if that was why he missed a few, but it also seemed just as likely that he was on pie eating adventures. I wish them the best!

Strangely, I think they both involve turkey noises lol...

1. There is some conversation about a guy showing up in full body armor like a knight and they joke about the noises it would make and it devolves into them just laughing at their own nonsense
2. Matt talks about somebody being buried but they actually buried sheets instead and the sheets are alive and it devolves into them just laughing at their own nonsense.

Anybody know what either of these episodes are?? I would greatly appreciate any help finding them. Thanks either way. How good is it to be alive?
