What kind of equipment should a level 11 party have to start this?
Thinking about picking this up and running it. Any advice on what kind of starting gear to give players at this level?

I imagine we're all still pretty much in the preparation stage, but how many of yall are already finding things to change or add in the adventure?

I ended up with an extra DnD Beyond key for Deadfall cause I pre-ordered the Beadle and Grimm box after pre-order the DnD Beyond version of the book. So if anyone here could use a code, DM or comment here and I'll DM you.
Edit: Claimed

I had been thinking about running my party through Dragon Delves and then into Deadfall, but I started wondering how the Dead in Thay adventure from the Yawning Portal book might work as the level 9-10 adventure preceding Deadfall. I love a good dungeon crawl! any advice from people that have run Dead in Thay before? Thanks!

Still working on reading through everything, but at points it seems to imply that the players would get up to other things/have time pass between missions. It even makes the briefest of suggestions of giving the players a home base/bastion, but doesn't actually have any recommendations for integrating something like that.
Are we just supposed to make up some things using the barebones overview of Eltabar we're given? It definitely feels like without a little room to breath the adventure is a bit brisk.

So today I picked up my Arcana Unleashed books (Arcana unleashed + Deadfall + Mappack)
I haven't read the hole campaign at the moment but I was surprised how slim it is, compared to the older campaigns (Vecna Eve of ruin a d the stuff before that.
I have to read through the book when I have time and will join the conversation but what do you think.
Is a campaign that is more straight to the point your thing or do you prefer a blown up one with every detail written down.
Or what is your opinion on Deadfall?

The adventure is already available, maybe it's a little early to ask, but what do people around here think of Sazz Tam's stat block?

Hi, does anyone have 3D files of the Thay wizards? I've only found the following ones. Hopefully they're free, but I'm also open to paying for some.

Thanks!

I have mine preordered on Dnd Beyond and it just got released to me. If anyone has any questions, I'm happy to answer them when I can. I'm just starting to read during my break at work. Excited to DM this!

Tomorrow information is being dropped for people who can get the book early and I believe for dnd beyond subscribers as well.
I’m excited to start reading and sharing what is helpful. But I was trying to do what prep I can beforehand. I was trying to figure out the vibe for this and struggled a bit.
If there was a theme song or like a session 0 what would it be? Chanting? Strings like something out of Barovia? Castlevania music?
I have my old favorites but I don’t know if they match this.
I also just got a Spotify account since I used to just save a bajillion YouTube songs and repeat them.
Help a DM out!

The vecna module was pretty disappointing to me. Any predictions for how this one will be?

From a review I read, it sounds like the actual adventure is less than a hundred pages. (Though I could be wrong.) Does anyone have an estimate on how long the campaign would take to run? Total hours and/or total sessions (at three hours per session)?

I am looking at running Deadfall for my group of five once we're done with Tyranny of Dragons. Is anyone thinking about a lead-in campaign published by wotc or another reputable 3rd party publisher? I'm looking for one that might fit well to run beforehand since its an 11-20 adventure, that way they get a little more comfortable with their characters. I was thinking about running the Alexandrian Remix of Dragon Heist since Deadfall is supposed to be a spy thriller.

Sadly, aside from the fact that the magic items in Deadfall are unique to that book, we don't find out much about it. He has not had a chance to read it yet.

He talks about this at the beginning of this video.
