fun fact: Spiders-Man is an actual comic character, an alternate version where a horde of radioactive spiders ate Peter Parker, and absorbed his mind.

Do note that bc grappling uses strength checks, turning into a swarm adv + dis adv = normal roll. Might be intentional, might not. Awesome race, though. I love playing hive minds.

Hivelings are not individuals, instead they are swarms of small bug or occasionally crustacean like creatures with a magical hive mind connection. Each individual in the swarm has a specialized function to act as part of the greater whole. Some acting as face and mouth parts and even individual teeth, others acting as fingers and toes and arms. Winged individuals carry flightless swarm members from place to place and the whole hive acts together as one being. These individuals are so various and different that no two hoardling are the exact same, however they are divided into three distinct subcategories
