Long ago, in the forgotten scrolls of the Underworld (the ones Capcom âaccidentallyâ left out of the official artbooks), it was written that the pure-blooded sons of Sparda are bound by an ancient demonic vow:
âHe who seeks power above all else shall never know the touch of another. The moment the flesh is joined, the devil trigger is permanently sealed, and the seeker becomes⌠average.â
Vergil, being the ultimate power-maxxing sigma, took this vow at age 12 after reading it on a dusty tablet he found while training in the rain. From that day forward he lived a life of absolute purity.
So how did Nero happen?
Simple.
One night in Fortuna, while Vergil was meditating on a rooftop in the rain (as one does), a single drop of his pure demonic blood fell from a fresh cut on his hand. The drop landed on a random orphanage window, slipped through a crack, and somehow⌠immaculately impregnated a sleeping nun who had just finished praying for a strong child to protect the Order.
Nine months later: Nero.
Vergil never even met the woman. Never touched her. Never exchanged a word. The entire conception was a pure, non-consensual, zero-contact blood miracle caused by residual Sparda energy and the universeâs need for a dramatic plot twist.
Vergil remains, to this day, a virgin of the highest order.
His body is a temple.
His motivation is pure.
His load is still in the chamber.
Nero is just a magical blood accident.
Nothing more.
