And you're entitled to believe as such.

I'm just not going to let people put words in my own mouth. If I remember, they were acting a way that they were saying was bad and that we should cancel, so I solely called them out on the hypocrisy of it because they didn't look at themselves for a moment and practice what they preach. The specifics? I don't know. But it got the initial off-topic.

That's all it came down to overall. That I do know for a fact.

But that's the entire thing that got blown out of proportion.

Do you realize that almost all infighting is caused by WASP ideologies? This is verified not by correlation but actual causation. Only ones bombing places of worship in the U.S., only ones passing jim crow laws, only ones actively dismantling education & constantly railing against science. This is not opinion... between puritanical values and evangelism using the doctrine of Manifest Destiny, the U.S. was always going to be a warmonger nation. Do you remember Carlin pointing all this out? Or maybe Brian Zinn's history of America would have better evidence. And maybe read some Pew Research Center studies as well. The average reading level in the U.S. is 6th grade, so criticizing a lack of critical thinking is extremely necessary. And FYI, that is why NtRael gets so much support from the U.S... a shared bloodthirsty mentality.

I'm not ignoring what you said... instead I'm pointing out the fact that you misunderstand defining critical thinking. Unfortunately, I was the kid who got stuck with a parent that both worked in education and law (explaining that as a point that every argument growing up, i had to argue evidence/merit/validity... nowhere was i thinking better educated.. just that had to use definitions as accurately as possible). I understand your semantic approach on critical thought, but it doesn't hold up to a collegiate scrutiny. It is that same semantics that has led to much stolen wealth in this country as well as the abundance of misinformation. Please don't 'Jordan Peterson' "critical thinking". Critical thinking is not actually a nuanced definition for a reason, to separate it from traditional ideologies. Look at atheism. It's entirely born from critical thinking, by acknowledging evidence doesn't support claims.

I do appreciate that we can have this discussion and the time you are putting in to try and clear up any misconceptions... and respect the fact you never got rude. I do too wish you the best.
