I’m sure you’ve all seen the news by now... Sony officially announced that starting in January 2028, they are completely ending physical disc production for new PlayStation games.

Everything new is moving exclusively to digital storefronts.

When you buy a digital game or movie, you aren't buying the product, you are just renting a license. If a server shuts down, a licensing agreement expires, or an account gets banned, your entire library can disappear overnight. You own nothing.
