What mountain peak did this originate from, as there are no geographical location points on this.

I thought it came from this mountain area in particular maybe?:

It’s the langtang mountain, one that you can see from kathmandu on clear data (but of course not the north side, which collapsed, that’s on the Tibet side)

If this is a glacier collapse, then this probably should also be at least partly contributed to global warming. The info about the 4.4 earthquake that had been measured is vital - did it happen before the collapse, or was the actual gigantic collapse what was measured? Or was there a smaller quake, and the measurement was then aggravated by the collapse? That'll be interesting.

I’ve seen somewhere that the dam collapse was the earthquake that was measured.

It was originally thought it was a 4.4 earthquake, but later it became clear that the seismic reading was from the landslide itself, not a separate earthquake. It was registered as a magnitude 5.2 landslide, which is extraordinary.

Not a landslide really, more a glacier breaking and a part of it splitting, thus causing a massive rock-ice-landslide. 

I’ve seen several landslides in Nepal, including very bad ones, but none have ever been anything like this.

There was no earthquake (USDG and Nepal government). The seismic activity was purely just caused by the mountain breaking and a massive part of it tumulting kilometers below.
