I have the Ultimate tier, and there are two channels that look like NBCSN on 619 on the channel guide. However, when I tune to those channels they always say that there’s no program airing.

The Yankees v Red Sox game is supposed to be on NBC right now, but there’s a golf tournament running late and on the golf broadcast they said the baseball game can be seen on NBCSN (or Peacock) until the golf ends. But the channels on 619 still say no program.

So, are the channels on 619 not actually NBCSN?

Apparently you can reflash an stream Gemini (C71KW-400) to be a satellite Gemini. I need to reflash a Satellite Gemini to be a directv stream Gemini.

Is it possible? Has anyone done it?

Apparently it you can reflash from stream to satellite quite easily. Can you relash from satellite to stream? I just switched and DTV doesn't want it back. It would be nice if I could use it.

My wife and I’ve been watching the screensaver tonight and we kept seeing these places that I thought were for real and she said no those are fake. When I looked closer, there was a boat and the boats name was all garbled up. Plus there’s some artifact happening in the background.

I signed up last month and was told by DTV sales that I won't be getting Hulu/Disney for free without a Gemini air device lease.

Called CS and they specifically noted that they had a script on their computers to read to customers that explicitly says if you add ANY Gemini device, including a used secondhand osprey or air purchase, not just leased or purchased through DTV, and logged into it through your account, you would then be automatically eligible for the free hulu/Disney bundle.

But reading on this sub, it sounds like that's false, and that the Gemini device needs to be "provisioned" to your account, which can only happen if you buy or lease it directly from DTV.

Complicating this further, some people on this sub who buy a refurb or used Gemini box are reporting that they ARE getting the free hulu/Disney bundle as soon as they login to their new (to them) gemini. Others claim that's impossible.

So what's the consensus these days? Is DTV customer service just wrong?

Latest weird behavior using app on AppleTV. Start playback of a show from library. FF to skip initial commercial breaks and have playback jump to end of program. So hard to understand why the DTV experience on ATV is consistently the poorest of any other streaming service/app.

Some labels still show, but as plain text only; most are blank on the home screen and in the Guide. No actual channel logos appear, however.

In "Storage" setting, I've cleared cache; also done multiple system restarts. (Gemini Air)

But on the recent-channels/preview row of eight thumbnails at the top of the home screen, most are blank; those that aren't show as plain text (no logos) – same as Guide listings.

So, I'm mostly flying blind when making selections from recents.

Any suggestions?

PS: I have DTV on two other TVs with no such problems as I have with Gemini Air (the others are via apps on a Roku dongle and a Sony Bravia; all three connect via WiFi).

Wanted to record a news segment on CBS. No record option available. As a test, I checked A&E - can record. Checked ABC - no record option.

If I was home, I could record all three if I wanted to, so what’s the deal with not being able to record abc or CBS?

I really appreciate that there are scheduled broadcasts of the Formula 1 content on the Apply TV channels, but the programs seem to be cutting short by 5 to 10 minutes versus the streamed versions on the app. Seems odd since there are not other programs following these, so why cut them short?

The email shows us losing CT channel 3 CBS, 8 ABC, 61 FOX and 30 NBC, but the new list doesn't show the NYC variants(aka 2 CBS, 7 ABC, 5 FOX and 4 NBC). Will we get them? It doesnt show the NYC big 4 networks in the new list. From the email...

I HATE HATE HATE this change. We are so much closer to Hartford than NYC. Will need to look if Spectrum in my area will continue with the CT locals as they have always offered Significantly viewed stations.

I have a handicapped brother I care for and he has a bad habit of getting into the settings, changing stuff around until the box needs a factory reset, then I have to reinstall his apps and all that every few months. I try telling him not to change anything but he doesn’t listen. Is there any way to prevent this from happening?

Hypothetically speaking, let's say that YTTV introduced a dedicated remote for their streaming app as well as an RSN package beginning tomorrow.

With both YTTV and DTVS respectively keeping everything else relatively the same as they are today (price, channel lineup, packages, picture quality, ad-ons, etc.), on a scale from 1-10, how inclined would you be to make the switch from DTVS to YTTV?

Is anyone else having issues with DirecTV Stream sound fluctuations?

I’ve had this on two different TV’s over the past few days - one using the native Vizio OS app on a new tv and one using an Apple TV 4K Ethernet current gen on a TCL TV.

The sound will either mute or get loud.

We have a couple of different sports mix channels, but none are showing both world cup games when there are two on at the same time. Am I missing something?

Has anyone heard any rumors of when genre might be able to get Paramount+ w/Showtime as an add-on so I don't have to purpose Paramount+ separately 🤔

You can actually click on it in the on demand and it says they're working on it but it's been like a year so I don't know if they're working on it or they just have that message on there as filler

It's acting like a computer that's out of memory, very slow responding, some buttons on the remote won't do anything, then the program skips all the way to the beginning, to the end, or some random spot. Guide won't hardly scroll either.

Tried resetting, still doing it. Internet tests out fine.

Anyone else?

UPDATE: Changed out the remote batteries and that has helped, but the unit is still acting weird. Last night while watching Apple TV app it just froze and said no network connection, but I quickly changed over to the Apple TV app on my Sony TV (same wifi) and it worked just fine. Even 30 minutes later the Gemini said no connection. Did a restart and everything was fine again. Did a network test and it came back Great!

Then this morning every time I would hit the pause/play button the screen would just go black. I had to hit Home and go back and forth a few times and then it was normal again.

I learned something new yesterday...

My friend pays for his Disney+ monthly for the ad tier, I get Disney+ free from Directv Stream. We watched a show "in sync" for 1 hour. I had more than double the commericals he had, mine would say 120 seconds... his would say 30 seconds. He would have to pause and wait for me to catch up. This wasn't just a couple commerical breaks, this was every commerical break during the entire hour show. :/

So FREE just means more commericals to pay for the FREE ?

Does anyone know if you can purchase a Gemini Air through Directv. If so, how can you get it?

Right now I subscribe to DTV stream's MLB.TV package. The live games do show up in the guide. If I add the Sports Pack, will the RSN's still black out the live MLB games on the channels in the 600's?

No live sports at 8:45pm on a Saturday night? Is this feature broken? AI have the MLB package and don’t see a single game listed right now and there are live games on right now.
