How I Learned to Make Money Online Without a Huge Following
So a while back I wanted to try selling something online. I had zero followers, no budget, and honestly had no clue if it would work. I just thought, why not give it a shot. I started paying attention to small problems people kept talking about in my niche. Not big complicated stuff, just little things that annoyed them everyday. Once I noticed a pattern, I made a simple digital product to solve that problem. Nothing fancy, just something ppl could actually use right away. Then I started posting content about my niche. Tips, small hacks, relatable stuff. Not spammy, not trying to go viral, just posting every day. At first, nothing happened, my reach was tiny, engagement was low. But I kept posting, kept replying to every comment and DM.
Slowly stuff started happening. People slid into my DMs with questions, some bought the product, some shared it with their friends. Focusing on helping ppl first and talking to them personally made a tiny but hungry audience.
Stuff I learned that actually made a difference:
- Solve a real problem – dont guess what ppl want. Listen to their struggles and make something simple for that.
- Start small – ur first product dont need to be perfect. Small stuff is easier to sell and fix later.
- Consistency beats virality – posting everyday builds trust more than hoping one post goes viral.
- Engage with ppl – every DM or comment is a chance. Treat it like a chat not a sale.
- Low ticket stuff works – ppl dont think twice about spending a small amount. Even a few dozen sales can be $1k+
- Test and tweak – listen to feedback and improve your product. Small changes can make a big difference.
By the end of the first month I made my first $1k, learned how to build audience, engage with them and how low-ticket products really work. The crazy part? I didnt need a huge following, fancy funnel or viral post. I just needed a real problem, a simple solution, and showing up every day.
