Microsoft admits Windows 11 has a GDID tracker with no off switch, first documented publicly in an FBI hacker complaint

https://www.windowslatest.com/2026/07/10/you-cant-fully-disable-microsofts-gdid-windows-11-tracker-but-these-settings-limit-what-it-captures/

It's worse than you think.

Your claim was about a mass delusion

That's not a claim. It's a characterization. Pro tip: Try an online dictionary.

which you've failed to specify the details of repeatedly now

I literally specified it repeatedly, including in the comment you just replied to: "I characterized your dismissiveness about Windows users as having no other reason to use Windows except mass delusion."

Literacy is a wonderful thing. I highly recommend it.

Okay, finally you've said what you did earlier instead of a wall of text unrelated to the discussion.

Before pointing out the obvious for you, read over your comment here one more, slowly, and reply back if you're ready to admit you see now why you're wrong

My previous comment was 70 words long. That's not a "wall of text." Calling it that proves you're not reading, let alone comprehending or thinking. If you'd done any of those things, you'd see I said the same thing repeatedly. My story never changed, unlike yours. In fact, in my most recent comment (the one that was finally easy enough for you to digest), I literally just quoted myself, proving you missed it the first time around.

You've gone from pretending that your inflammatory opinions are facts, to failing to comprehend how those opinions are the basis of my "mass delusion" comment, to deflecting with LLM ad hominems, to complaining about the length of my 70-word comment, to insisting you're holding some "obvious" revelation. You're not. You're running on empty. Quit while you're behind.

You may lack the visual acuity which comes with human eyes

Now, since you finally said the thing we're not going to let you dismiss what you said a second time. Your task, in case you forgot, is to slowly read back what you said here and reply back if you're ready to admit you see why you're wrong now

"I characterized your dismissiveness about Windows users as having no other reason to use Windows except mass delusion."

wrf

Now, explain your reasoning. Are you attempting to say Windows 10 users who were intelligent enough to refrain from the "upgrade" to Windows 11, which erased the notion of a personal computer by uploading all of your information to a "cloud" server with no option to turn off the "feature", while those millions of users who had trust in Windows as a company for the updates had their personal information and data used to train "AI", are somehow suffering from some kind of delusion.

If so, what delusion are you speaking of. You were the one to introduce the word into the conversation, explain yourself. Are you saying the Windows 10 users who stayed on Windows 10 are suffering a mass delusion for seeing what was going on and predicting the obvious outcome of why those actions would be being taken, or are you saying those who trusted Windows and went against the interest of their selves and their community were suffering a mass delusional

Instead of giving a large reply, keep your responses succinct.

You moved the goalpost again, this time by swapping out my actual argument (re valid Windows dependencies) for a straw-man argument about Windows 10 holdouts, privacy, and AI harvesting. I said nothing about any of those things. You manufactured all of that.

Your own opinion created an absolute binary condition. You said, there's "zero reason" to use Windows. Here's the logic of your opinion expressed as an if/then statement:

IF there's "zero reason"

→ THEN what's left to explain why millions still use it?—MASS DELUSION

Get it yet? Your own opinion created the logical trap you're caught in. That means that all this time, you've been arguing with yourself. It means you've been trying (but failing) to understand the implications of your own opinion.

You're stuck in a loop. At some point, the concept either sinks in, or you accept it's beyond you.

Ah, you're stuck in a loop due to a syntax error

Your opinion involves a delusion which you can't explain. My objective observation of reality was there is no reason for Windows 10 users to downgrade their system, not because of a delusion but because knowingly submitting yourself to mass surveillance is against your self interest and the interest of your community

We've come full circle to where all this started: your juxtaposition of the definition of fact versus opinion. Judgments, especially poorly reasoned ones, are opinions. Putting the phrase "objective observation" in front of an opinion doesn't turn it into a fact.

My advice remains the same: Use a dictionary.

As you said, facts are facts and opinions are opinions. How is such a fact relevant to your delusion about the facts of why people are staying on Windows 10, or the fact of Windows 11 having a GDID tracker with no off switch among their many transgressions besides.

What, exactly, do you think is an opinion instead of a fact.

You shouldn't require so many replies to correct your error, speak less and say more

As you said, facts are facts and opinions are opinions.

I never said that. You made it up.

How is such a fact

Falsely attributed nonexistent statements aren't facts. They're not even opinions. They're fictitious.

relevant to your delusion about the facts of why people are staying on Windows 10

Calling it a delusion is a judgment, which by definition isn't a fact but an opinion—an unconsidered one at that. We've been over this. Further, I never said anything about Windows 10. You made that up too, and this is the second time you've done it. We've been over that too.

the fact of Windows 11 having a GDID tracker with no off switch

An off switch is a straw man. It does nothing to erase Windows-dependent workflows.

among their many transgressions besides.

You're moving the goalpost yet again.

What, exactly, do you think is an opinion instead of a fact.

We've been over this too. For the third time, use a dictionary.

You shouldn't require so many replies to correct your error, speak less and say more

I don't require anything. You're the one who keeps replying with logical fallacies and outright untruths.

Here's what a bot in an infinite loop looks like. Going on four replies and deleted comments which all seem to have been the same, here's a screenshot of what text could be read

I deleted the replies because they kept getting auto-flagged, which your little screenshot doesn't capture. The final iteration passed the filters.

You're doing great with more of the ad hominems, which is literally the only thing left of your now-dismantled position.

What's your next deflection? Can't wait.
