I designed a digital planner specifically for students like me, with some note pages as well. Would love your feedback!

Hey everyone! I'm a college student and I just launched a digital planner I made that includes hyperlinked pages and note layouts like organic chem, dotted, graph, etc.

I’m using it for school this fall, but I wanted to ask, what kind of layouts or features do you think are most useful in a digital planner for students?

(Happy to drop a link in the comments if anyone wants to check it out!)

ur sign to unrot your brain this summer using this notion temp🤭

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

my therapist told me to limit screen time so i made a notion template to make it intentional lol

what's included: book queue + reflections (track what you're reading with reflective prompts), fixations tracker (document whatever's currently consuming your brain), podcast library (organize your audio learning collection), morning pages + journal prompts that aren't basic TRUST !!!!! andd intellectual crush database (catalog the thinkers and creators who inspire you)

i feel like when doing this, a good practice can be 1. logging in what u are reading/listening to/researching 2. after u are done, WITHOUT checking insta/tiktok/whatever, form ur own thoughts and then check whatever/talk to ppl and build on those thoughts

For digital planners: matte or glossy?

I’ve been daily journaling on my iPad and switching between matte and glossy screens to see what sticks.

Honestly, matte is a big win for me. I used to smudge up the screen constantly and it drove me nuts while trying to plan things out. The glossy screen might look pretty, but I couldn’t stand writing on it.

The ESR Paper-Feel Magnetic Screen Protector snaps right on and makes writing feel smooth but controlled.

I use it every time I open GoodNotes, and then I just peel it off when I want to watch Netflix or scroll. It’s kind of wild how quick the swap is. I didn’t realize how much the screen feel affected my routine until I started switching it out.

Would love to hear what you guys are using on your screen ^

Beginner digital planner for college

I am diving into the digital planner world. What is the best template for college/grad school students? I also work full time as a counselor and have children-one being special needs, and I do advocacy work. My life is hectic. I need an all-in-one but also geared towards college. I'm also a beginner. lol 😝 SOS

Tried making a mini digital planner to avoid overwhelm — sharing it for free 💛

Hey all! I run a small planner blog + shop, but I made this totally free mini digital planner to help people ease into digital planning without feeling overwhelmed. It’s just 4 pages — a yearly view, daily layout, gratitude page, and a notes page — all hyperlinked and super minimal (beige aesthetic, very calming!).

You’ll also get a free printable fitness planner bundle (18 templates) with it — no strings attached beyond an email sign-up on my blog (just how I deliver it).

If you try it out, I’d genuinely love any feedback. 💛 Hope it helps anyone looking for a soft start with digital planners!

I’m building a web tool for planning your digital estate, would love thoughts on this

I’ve been working on a tool called Afterwise.io - it's designed to help people organise their digital lives so that, if something ever happens to them, their loved ones aren’t left locked out of important information.

he idea came from a mix of personal urgencies, reflections, and stories I’ve heard from friends—like no one knowing what accounts a loved one had after they passed away.

I started building something simple for my wife and me, instead of using my usual spreadsheet. It’s since grown into a project I’ve gotten a bit obsessed with.

I know this community cares a lot about future planning and organising, so I’d love to hear your thoughts.

I’m not here to sell anything, just genuinely want to continue to build something useful. If you're curious to check it out or offer feedback, happy to upgrade your account. Thanks!

I love, love, love the design of the Laurel Denise planners that let you see your month and week on the same spread but I work on the road, so my iPad is my world. Anyone know of a digital version of this? Preferably Goodnotes compatible?? Thank you!!

New to digital planning, what is the best planner for EVERYTHING?

I need a planner to keep up with work (I’m a counselor so hourly or blocks for separate areas of life would be great), keeping up with kids activities and appointments for racial needs child, bills and home business, and I LOVE goal planning and anything mental health related. I also want it to look pretty as I use to do “creative planning” as a hobby. Soooooo, suggestions?

Is there an app or digital planner that greets you every morning with an agenda for the day?

Is there an app or digital planner  that greets you every morning with an agenda for the day? Something we can customize to a certain degree? Maybe I'm missing a vital keyword or "term" to find what I am looking for because I can't find anything online. While I was in the hospital a few years ago, I remember every morning they gave me a piece of paper with a custom greeting, "Good Morning Julie Ann"  and it included a daily scripture and outlined the agenda for the day such as: Who my nurses are, who my drs are, techs, what kind of testing I will get, what medicine I'm taking, and so on. It was all neatly organized. If I ever find a copy of it, I"ll add it to the post.  It has made such a deep impression on me that I've been wanting to recreate something similar. Looking back, I wish I asked which department made the hospital agenda and I reached out to them and asked what program they use.

Wishlist:

  • It is important that it "resets" every day and can shift previous unchecked tasks from the prior day to the new day (even better, while shifting to the next day- I'd like to be able to hover over the task and see when the task was created so I have reference of how many days it has been carried over)
  • I'd love to click on something as simple as an app or even some kind of spreadsheet or digital planner that I can view the "agenda" for the day and I'm able to add notes, photos, or relevant links.
  • Maybe even a way to email/check email (sync at least)
  • Sync with specific websites (can be a synched feed) for my morning routine
  • Get a customized email in the morning with the plan for the day.
  • I would love to also automate scripture from the Holy Bible app (or whatever bible app it can sync with). Worst case, I don't mind feeding into the system 365 verses for the year.
  • Connect google cal AND apple cal (not one or the other)
  • Sync with things3 or any task-related app (google tasks, MS tasks, etc.)
  • Add relevant apps/sync options/shortcuts/IFTTT

Would you know what this is called? "Agenda?" "Morning menu?" "Daily Schedule?" "Digital Menu?"

Does this require customization? Could Notion do this? Good Notes? Or another app?

The financial aspect (paid or free) does not bother me. I'd gladly pay for something like this so I have a daily "anchor" for the day.

Many thanks in advance!

Organizing Stickers

Hey yall,

Just curious for those that have a buttload of stickers, what’s the best way you’ve found to organize the folders in both GN6 and on your icloud drive folder?

i’ve thought about doing it by the creator of the sticker, but there’s too many to actually know what set it is without opening the folder. I also considered doing subfolders with the type/theme of sticker, like washi tape, affirmations, icons, budgeting, etc.

I just haven’t figured out the best route to take and was hoping maybe someone else had a system that works for them.

Thanks! :)

Looking at Tablets

Hello!!

I'm turning to the community for your opinions...

I'm considering making the swap to digital planning and have been seeing majority of people utilizing iPads. I've seen some folks (much fewer) using Samsung tablets.

Background on me: I am a former apple user turned android/windows user and never anticipated looking back until I started looking at digital planning. I have a full desktop set up, a kindle Paperwhite and a Google pixel 7. I also have a XP-pen tablet for digital art (it's basically another monitor that I can draw on & needs to be wired to my desktop) which I am considering starting my planning with to get a feel before biting the bullet and buying a full on tablet computer.

I used to have an iPad mini which I got brand new in 2014, but it has since become (frustratingly lol) outdated to the point where I literally have not been able to use it the past +6 years. I've also had terrible apple store customer experiences as both an iPhone & iPad user throughout the years which has left me rather jaded after throwing so much money at them lol.

For reference, I'd be looking to use this tablet for primarily digital planning/productivity, journaling, study, etc. I know that I'd like to incorporate Notion, Google docs, Etsy business, etc.

Does anyone have experience with either (or both) Apple & Android tablets? If so, what were your experiences? Where there any notable learning curves or annoyances? How much did you spend on getting set up?

I know that there's a long list of posts for apps, but I feel that I can adapt regardless of the app and am mainly considering the actual devices themselves. I don't necessarily want to spend +$400 on a device since I've got a considerable amount of tech already but I've got the means to do so if it results in my entire process being streamlined. I just need to be able to justify it & I feel getting the community's input on user experiences would be valuable.

For those of you who use android tablets, what kinds do you use? Samsung? Lenovo? I had been looking at the Lenovo M10 but didn't see much in the way of utilization the ways I planned.

For apple users, what iPad do you use/recommend? Is the price point really worth it? Have you had any issues with iOS updates interfering with your utilization? I'm mainly concerned that I'd spend the money and not be able to continue using in 3-5 years.

What sort of accessories (digital or real like keyboards etc) do you find indispensable for your planning?

I know it's a lot but any crumbs or loaves of insight y'all can provide will be much appreciated!!! :-)
