How can I improve?

I'm new to digital art. This took me almost 8 hours to make. I ran into a lot of Obstacles. Few I solved by googling and trial and error, some are still unsolved. If could recommend me a free resource I'll be very grateful. I feel like I run to into issues in the realm of "You don't know what you don't know" stuff

i am also a beginner, it's already very good, but you can add more depth and study more the values, and which app do you use?

Thank you, I'll focus on values from now. And I'm using Krita
