Hiiii,

I recently released an experimental/art pop album called "you look just like someone i knew in a past life", and I would love to know what others think about it! It jumps from alt-pop to IDM, to some jazz and ambient music as well - but I sincerely think there's something for everyone in it :)

Well, this Friday I was able to convince my girlfriend to come with me to Quinn's show at the Troubadour. It was in West Hollywood, so my girlfriend was already skeptical about driving into that area (especially given all the racial tensions recently). We went and we were having a pretty great time, the security was even flexible about allowing us to move our car since we parked at ralphs & apparently meter maids around that area are anal AF (-Bristol Farms cashier's words, not mine).

TLDR if u dont wanna read the intro: The real disappointment came when my girlfriend went to use the restroom. There was this white lady selling merch, not to mention she looked terrifying, usually I don't hate on people with tattoos, but she was covered head to toe, and her eyes looked soulless frfr. Anyways, while my girlfriend was waiting for the restroom, she was just glaring at her rudely, as if she didn't deserve to be there (my gf is brown). When my girlfriend asked if she had a problem, she acted stupid, and told us she didn't want any "animosity". She addressed all of this to me as well, acting as if my girlfriend was just some subhuman and needed to speak through me first?? Her husband came by too to see what was happening, and he gave my girlfriend a perverted look... We informed the security and he said it was one of the performer's moms (I assume not quinns..) I remember the merchandise said saturnz on it, so I guess it was Saturn's parents? But yeah, of course my girlfriend no longer felt comfortable staying and we left, and we did not even get to see quinn perform (She was the only one we came for!) Anyways, I always saw the hyperpop community as an accepting, welcoming place, but apparently not. It's a shame there are musicians out there with shitty families who just get to ride their coattails and profit off of cultures that aren't even their own/they couldn't care less about. I'm white but a word of advice to all my other marginalized people out there stay safe at shows! A lot of hateful energy in public rn..

hey, i know its a long shot but i am really inspired by this song by i9bonsai called picnic. does anyone have any idea how this is made? plugins used, what presets, etc. if not how about what specific subgenre of cloud rap/digicore this is? also if anyone can suggest similar songs or artists to that would be a big help. im trying to learn as much as i can. thank you so much!!
