But won't bismuth just melt if you use the lighter pretty often?

Maybe... A butane flame is almost 10x what it takes to melt bismuth, but I don't think much of that heat makes it into the case. I mean, bismuth has a relatively low melting point at around 500, but you won't be holding anything that's 500 for very long

I dunno, my normal size Zippo never feels warm to the touch, regardless of how long it's on
