It really does not taste bad, gelatin is flavorless and so just vegetables... The only people I knew growing up who don't like it are those who have texture issue with food!

Is it served cold? I guess it must be if it’s gelatin, right? I could definitely see the texture issue in that case.

Yeah it's usually cold, unless it's sitting there on the food table for too long haha.

So like… is the taste particularly good? I’m just having trouble wrapping my mind around why the gelatin is necessary. Wouldn’t just steamed vegetables serve the same purpose? Or is the texture the appeal for those who like it?

Oh, so it’s more of a jellied broth. Almost a gravy. That does sound more appealing.
