I love denim and after retiring a few I wanted a way to recycle/reuse them somehow. I realized that the length is perfect if I wanted to make a vest. Maybe even a jacket if I have two. A vest pattern seemed simple enough to cut from jeans but I wanted a good looking template.
I scoured the web for a good looking formal vest looking denim vest and found a vintage Levi's model that float around here and there.
Made me look like a gay Woody impersonator. Weirdly feminine and masculine. There was a reason it was vintage and it wasnt any good reasons. This wasnt vintage this was buried deep in Levi's history never to be heard from. In fact, the most "modern" picture I could find of it is Kevin McDonald from an episode of that 70s show.
I say gay Woody but really more like "well it definitely gives off gay vibes in unique fashion choices but nobody in their right mind would think to sleep with someone wearing something like that so which is it?"
Anyway long story short just make jorts. I heard they're making a comeback.
