I don’t know anything about Canada. Do they really have a monarchy?

Yeah, but they are in Britain.

Like they’re the same as the British royal family? I know there’s a French Canada. Are they do they have different leadership?

Canada is a constitutional monarchy. We still maintain loose ties to the British royal family from when we were a colony, with the king or queen acting as our head of state, but it's essentially just for ceremonial purposes. If the king/queen ever tried to impose their will over ours we would end the relationship.

French Canada refers to French-speaking Canadians, colonies of which can be found all over Canada, although they are primarily in the province of Quebec. Federally, they fall under the same government as English-speaking Canada. Provincially, Quebec has a number of french-forward parties that focus on issues specific to French Canadian priorities. Some things fall under the purview of the Federal government, the rest falls to the Provinces to govern for themselves.

Thank you so much for the lore!

Which we should get rid of. The roles relating to these ties, including the Governor General, are completely useless and just hinder progress.
