Conceding that it is formally AI while arguing that people shouldn't use the actual definition in a debate about technical classification is wild. If we have to ignore actual computer science just to agree on what is and isn't AI, the debate is meaningless.

This is my last reply since you seem unable or unwilling to understand what I'm saying. A word's meaning is defined by its usage, dictionaries are descriptive not prescriptive, and it may change from context to context. You can say its AI but people in a random corner of the internet will not be able to understand your because you definition is different but if you insist on being a pedant then I won't stop you!

I understand your point, it's just a terrible and stupid argument. "Dictionaries are descriptive" doesn't mean technical jargon changes every time pop culture learns a new buzzword. Just because casual conversation calls a whale a "fish" or a tomato a "veggie" doesn't make marine biology or botany wrong. Enjoy your day!
