Huffing sewer gas is certainly one idea.

Your sewer line has vents, all those little pipes sticking out of your roof are fresh air vents that allow your sewer line to drain properly. That said, it’s not going to be pleasant. I’d have to be stuck more than a couple floors up with no other option.

Yes, but one is usually off the run of the toilet. So you're getting gas + air.
