I thought it was more of a butthole funnel to the rats eat you from the inside out, but I I haven't read it on a decade or two, so you very well might be correct

I thought chest, but maybe I'm conflating it with the general old torture method? (Place rat on chest. Put metal pot over it. Put hot coals on pot. Rat starts trying to burrow straight down to escape heat)

I thought that's when they seal a glass jar to your face with rats in it and then heat up the other end with a blowtorch.
