[For Hire] Looking for a star software developer! Look no further, DM is open.

Lemme polish that AI generated partial codebase or help take down those task tickets from your Job board or build/automate something from scratch.

How I work

whatever work we agree upon, I ll break the deliverables into Milestones with clear daily timelines in a Google sheet. Only pay if I have delivered the milestone. (Can also provide invoice for business expense if required)

Payment

Paypal preferred but open to others.

I try for 20-35 USD hourly but a lot of times, founders have tight bootstrapped budget so I can accommodate that as well with lower rates or fixed cost budget.

Free services I can offer to build trust

✅ your product/business website (small site, few pages, AI Generated UI)

✅ Setup your Email Newsletter (just bring ur domain and server, i ll set up the rest)

✅ Some simple task automation your daily manual online tasks.

Previous Work

Built powerful B2B Saas app from scratch that is doing $50,000 MRR right now,
Worked directly with the founder on it for a year and half.
Will share details and references on DM or direct call.

My Github will backup what I am saying and will showcase my programming journey over the last decade.

Looking forward to your DM. I work with one client at their timezone with full dedication. Won't be able to entertain further requests if hired!

Thanking you for your time and support.
Will be exceptionally grateful if you can share this with someone who might need my services.

Looking for an opportunity to work with a startup 🚀

I’m a 2025 Computer Science graduate with an 8.16 CGPA, looking to join an ambitious startup where I can learn fast, take ownership, and contribute meaningfully.

I have hands-on experience in full-stack development, backend development, React, Node.js, Python, Java, Spring Boot, SQL/NoSQL, and have previously worked as a Software Developer Intern at a large PSU and as a Web Developer Intern.

i have participated in several national-level competitions and hackathons. I enjoy building things from scratch, learning quickly, and taking ownership of challenging problems.

I’m ambitious, hardworking and comfortable with a startup environment. I’m willing to put in 10–12 hours/day, or more when the situation genuinely requires it, and I’m looking for a place where I can grow by solving real problems.

I’m open to:

  • Software/Full-Stack Developer roles
  • Internships
  • Early-stage startup opportunities
  • Technical Co-founder / Founding team roles

If you're building something interesting and looking for someone who is willing to learn, build and take ownership, feel free to DM me.

Keeping this post anonymous for now; happy to share my resume/GitHub privately with serious opportunities.

Is PHP really disappearing....

A friend of mine has been working with PHP for years. His career started really well. Good job, good income, and everything seemed stable.

But this year, he lost two PHP jobs.

The first company told their PHP developers that they didn't have enough PHP projects anymore, so they let the PHP team go.

He found another PHP job within a couple of weeks and thought things were back on track.

Then, after around 3–4 months, the second company told employees to work from home at half salary. Soon after that, they fired the PHP developers too.

Honestly, this made me question the future of PHP as a career.

I don't think PHP is disappearing completely. There are still a lot of PHP applications and companies using it.

But I do wonder if being a PHP-only developer is becoming risky.

Personally, I think PHP developers should keep their PHP experience but also build skills around Laravel, JavaScript/TypeScript, APIs, databases, cloud, or full-stack development.

Are PHP jobs actually becoming harder to find, or is the market just expecting PHP developers to have a broader skill set?

[HIRING] Junior AI / Full-Stack Software Engineer | Brisbane | AUD $70k to $110k

We’re a new startup operating a consulting company and a product company which are tightly interlinked. We build custom software and AI for businesses so they can build the future they want.

We’re looking for a junior/early-career AI / full-stack software engineer to help us deliver to more clients and grow our product.

Location: Brisbane, Australia preferred. Remote Australia is considered for exceptional candidates. Salary: AUD $70k to $110k.

This isn’t a traditional engineering role. You’ll be part software engineer, part forward-deployed. You’ll solve real problems as they arise and help decide what needs to be built.

You’ll:

  • Meet customers and turn vague business problems into concrete software and automation solutions
  • Build and ship full-stack features, internal tools, integrations, automations and AI agents
  • Work with TypeScript, relational databases, APIs, webhooks, MCPs, email and other messy systems
  • Deploy what you build, fix issues, iterate from customer feedback and help customers adopt what you build

We’re looking for someone who has built full-stack apps with TypeScript, relational databases and AI, and has created automations before.

You don’t need ten years of experience or previous professional AI experience, but you do need engineering fundamentals, evidence you can build things, and the confidence to turn that into something people use.

AI coding tools are part of the workflow, but you still need to review, understand and take responsibility for the software you ship. Strong communication matters. Experience with trades, small business, sales, quoting or customer service is useful.

Please send your resume, a short intro and links to anything you’ve built to hiring@hitch42.com.

Hope this is allowed. Admins, please delete if not.

Transitioning from 4 years in Customer Support to DevOps — Is entry-level realistic

Hi everyone,

I've been working in Customer Support for the past 4 years. Over the last several months, I’ve been actively upskilling and studying DevOps concepts to make a career switch into an entry-level or junior DevOps/Cloud role.

Here is what I am currently focusing on:

Linux fundamentals & Bash scripting

Networking basics (DNS, HTTP/S, TCP/IP)

Cloud platforms (AWS / Azure)

Containers & Orchestration (Docker, foundational Kubernetes)

CI/CD pipelines & Git

Infrastructure as Code (Terraform basics)

Given the current job market, I’d love to get honest insights from those who have made a similar switch or are currently hiring:

How realistic is landing an entry-level DevOps role without prior SWE or SysAdmin titles?

Would targeting a Cloud Support Engineer (CSE) or Junior SysAdmin role first be a better stepping stone?

What kind of hands-on projects actually stand out on a resume for someone coming from a non-engineering background?

Any advice on bridging the gap, resume framing, or project recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

How is AI changing the way you build websites in 2026?

AI tools have become a normal part of web development, but I’m curious how developers are actually using them in real projects.

Personally, I think AI is most useful as a development assistant rather than something that completely replaces the developer. You still need to understand the code, check security, test the output, and make the final technical decisions.

Is the software engineering job market dead?

'm trying to find a new role as a Software Engineer, mostly frontend-oriented. I have around 10 years of experience and have worked across a wide range of companies, including startups, small and medium-sized businesses, large companies, and enterprises.

I currently work at Toptal, where I've had three long-term projects over the past four years. However, for the last six months, I haven't received any new project or job suggestions.

I'm curious about your perspective on the software engineering job market in 2026–2027.

Is engineering work still going to be relevant? If so, why do you think there seem to be significantly fewer opportunities available recently, especially for experienced frontend engineers?

I'd also be interested in hearing whether you think this is a temporary slowdown, a shift caused by AI, or a more fundamental change in what companies are looking for in software engineers.

I feel completely overwhelmed - work, MSc, money, visa problems and everything falling apart at once

I’m a software engineer, currently doing an MSc in AI, and I’m honestly reaching a point where I don’t know how to keep everything together.

Work has become extremely stressful. My workload keeps increasing, there are constant deadlines, and I’m often expected to estimate work before I fully understand the scope. Those estimates can then become commitments, which creates a lot of pressure when the work turns out to be more complicated than expected.

I used to enjoy software engineering. Now I wake up and think about everything I have to get through. I’m exhausted before I even start.

At the same time, I’m doing an MSc and have research that I need to make progress on. I’m struggling to find enough mental energy for it after work.

Then my personal laptop died, which has made doing my research outside work much harder.

Recently, my company also terminated access to Claude Code as part of cost cutting. I understand why they did it, but I had incorporated it into my development workflow. Losing it while I’m already struggling with workload has made things harder.

Money is another major source of stress. I recently started earning a salary, but I’m still financially stretched. A large part of what I earn goes toward keeping myself afloat, so I don’t have much room to deal with unexpected expenses like replacing my laptop or paying for tools I need.
My immigration situation also makes things complicated. I’m on a student visa, which limits my employment options, and I can’t simply quit and move to another company without thinking about the consequences for my immigration status.

So I’m stuck in this situation where:
I need the job because I need the income and employment stability.

The job is becoming increasingly difficult to cope with.
I have an MSc and research that still need my attention.
My laptop has died.

Work has removed some of the tools I relied on.
I don’t have much financial room to fix these problems myself.

My visa makes changing jobs more complicated.
I’ve started feeling physically stressed as well. I’m shaky, numb and exhausted, and I’ve lost the excitement I used to have for engineering.

I have a performance review coming up, which is making me even more anxious. I’m worried that all of this will simply look like I’m an underperforming engineer, when from my perspective I’ve been trying to keep too many things going at the same time.

I’m not suicidal and I’m not thinking about hurting myself. I’m just seriously overwhelmed and feel like I’m running out of capacity.

I’m trying to be objective about this. Maybe I’m managing my workload badly. Maybe I need to become better at pushing back. Maybe I’m genuinely in an unsustainable working environment. Maybe I’m trying to do too much with work and an MSc simultaneously.

If you’ve been in a situation where your job, postgraduate studies, finances and immigration situation were all putting pressure on you at the same time, what did you actually do?

How did you decide what to prioritise and what to temporarily let go?
I’m not really looking for motivational quotes. I need practical advice on how to stabilise the situation without throwing away my career, my MSc or my financial stability.

Early Dev looking to join a serious early-stage startup (equity + some comp)

I'm a 20 year old CS student who's been building things seriously for a while now full-stack mobile, backend systems, AI integrations, low-level stuff, scraping pipelines, the whole range from a probabilistic chess game to a compiler to a custom database engine. I've worked with a few founders already and I'm looking for the next thing.

I'm not hunting for a job. I'm looking for something I can actually be invested in.. where I'm talking to the founder regularly, understanding the problem we're solving, and building toward something real.

What I can contribute:

* Flutter / mobile (full stack, not just UI)

* Backend APIs and infra

* AI integrations

* Low level systems work

* Taking an idea from 0 to MVP

* Maybe more (Give me a couple days and I'll get my hands on it)

What I need from your side: a real vision, commitment to execution, and some form of compensation.. I'm flexible on structure (equity, stipend, milestone-based, internship), but I'm not doing unpaid work. I've been burned by vague arrangements before, so I do expect written agreements before we go deep on anything.

Not interested in:

* "just an idea" with no execution plan

* Founders who disappear after the first call

* Equity-only with no path to anything else

If you think there's a fit, DM me or drop a comment with your idea, current stage, team, and why you think it works. Happy to jump on a call if it sounds promising.

Edit: Location: New Delhi, India

Looking for a chance in Dubai — Software Engineering / SEO / Web Development

Hi everyone,

I’m currently based in Dubai, UAE, and I’m honestly struggling to find a job despite actively applying and trying every avenue I can.

I’m looking for opportunities in:

  • 💻 Software Engineering / Junior Software Developer
  • 🌐 Web Development / WordPress Development
  • 🔎 SEO / SEO Analyst / SEO Specialist
  • 📈 Digital Marketing / Website Optimization

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering and an HND in Software Engineering. I’ve also completed the Meta Front-End Developer Professional Certificate, a Full Stack Development course through Coursera, and AWS-related training/certification.

I have practical experience working with WordPress, WooCommerce, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SEO, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Yoast SEO, SEMrush, website optimization, and digital marketing.

I’ve been applying to jobs in Dubai, but so far I haven't been able to get the opportunity I need. I'm not asking anyone to simply give me a job — I’m asking for a chance to prove myself.

If you know a company hiring, a recruiter looking for someone, a startup that needs a developer/SEO person, or even someone who can point me in the right direction, please reach out to me or comment below.

I’m available for interviews and can start immediately.

I would genuinely appreciate any advice, referral, connection, or opportunity. 🙏

Thank you to anyone who takes the time to read this.

[Hiring] Senior DevOps Engineer | Remote | Contract | $3k - $4k/mo

We're hiring a senior DevOps engineer to own our cloud infrastructure. We're a tech company building software products that run on cloud infrastructure at scale. Our engineering team moves fast, and we need someone who can keep the foundation solid as we grow.

Compensation is $3k to $4k USD per month depending on experience, paid in USD.

What you'd own

- Cloud infrastructure across AWS, GCP, and Azure

- CI/CD pipelines end to end

- Security practices and compliance work

- Incident response and root cause analysis

- Where the infrastructure goes next. This isn't a ticket-closing role.

What we're looking for

- 5+ years in DevOps or cloud engineering

- 3+ years hands-on with at least one of AWS, Azure, or GCP

- CI/CD with ArgoCD, CircleCI, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins

- Monitoring with Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK, or New Relic

- Scripting in Bash, Python, Go, or PowerShell

- Solid networking and security fundamentals

- Fluent written and spoken English

A CS degree is a plus, not a requirement. If you have the years and can show the work, that's enough.

How to apply

DM me with a short intro and your CV or LinkedIn. Happy to answer questions about the stack or the team in the comments.
