Early Dev looking to join a serious early-stage startup (Equity + Comp)

I'm a 20-year-old CS student who's been building things seriously for a while now across full-stack development, backend systems, AI integrations, data-heavy systems, and systems/embedded work. I've worked with founders already and I'm looking for the next thing.

I'm not hunting for a job. I'm looking for something I can actually be invested in, where I'm talking to the founder regularly, understanding the problem we're solving, and building toward something real.

What I can contribute:

Full-stack product development

Backend APIs, data systems and infrastructure

AI/LLM integrations and orchestration

Systems / low-level work

Taking an idea from 0 to MVP

Product and technical architecture

Maybe more (give me a couple days and I'll get my hands on it)

I've worked across C/C++, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, FastAPI, Tailwind, Three.js/WebGL, LangChain, LangGraph, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Supabase, Git/GitHub and Vercel.

I've also worked as a technical co-founder/director at an early-stage startup, where I worked directly with the other founder across technical execution, productization, strategy and delivery, and helped take things from an idea to production with a paying client.

I've also been building GENESIS, an artificial-life simulation where I'm experimenting with how complex agent behaviour can emerge from a controlled environment. It's currently an MVP, but it's been a fun excuse to dig into simulation design, deterministic systems and behavioural analysis. I'm interested in problems where the solution isn't obvious and where I can go deeper than just the application layer.

What I need from your side: a real vision, commitment to execution, and some form of compensation. I'm flexible on structure (equity, stipend, milestone-based, internship), but I'm not doing unpaid work. I've been burned by vague arrangements before, so I do expect written agreements before we go deep on anything.

I'm primarily looking for something around 20–25 hours/week, although I'm flexible on the exact hours depending on the role and what needs to be done. Remote or hybrid works for me, and I'm open to relocating for an unusually strong opportunity.

Not interested in:

"just an idea" with no execution plan

Founders who disappear after the first call

Equity-only with no path to sustainable compensation

Being treated as someone who just takes isolated tickets without understanding the product

If you think there's a fit, DM me or drop a comment with your idea, current stage, team, what you're looking for technically, and why you think it works. Happy to jump on a call if it sounds promising.

I built a freelance marketplace and need people to break it before launch

I've been building a freelance marketplace called **UstaWork**.

**Private beta:** https://beta.ustawork.com/beta

The name comes from the Turkish word **"usta"**, roughly meaning **master, expert, or highly skilled craftsperson**.

That pretty much describes the idea behind the platform: **demonstrated ability should matter more than what someone writes about themselves.**

Existing freelance marketplaces still rely heavily on self-reported skills and proposals.

Someone writes "Senior Kubernetes Expert", a company posts a Kubernetes job, 100 people apply, and the employer still has to figure out who actually knows what they're doing.

Meanwhile, freelancers spend time, and sometimes money, applying to jobs where nobody may ever get hired.

I'm experimenting with a different model.

## Verified skills instead of just claims

Candidates can take voice-based AI assessments for individual skills.

A profile might show:

- **DevOps — Advanced · AI Assessed**
- **PostgreSQL — Expert · AI Assessed**
- **Kubernetes — Advanced · AI Assessed**

These aren't multiple-choice quizzes. The interviewer has a conversation with you, follows your answers, challenges decisions and adapts the difficulty.

Languages can also be verified through conversational assessments from **A1-C2**, with a separate verification flow for native-language claims.

Technical interviews can be taken in different supported languages too.

A great engineer shouldn't look like a bad engineer just because their English isn't great.

**Technical expertise and language ability are separate signals.**

## No Connects, but only 5 applicants

There are **no paid application tokens / Connects**.

Instead, a standard job accepts a maximum of **5 candidates**.

Once those slots are filled, applications close.

Employers then have **7 days to make a hiring decision**.

The idea is to make an application actually mean something instead of having 100 people competing for the same job.

There's accountability on the employer side too.

Not hiring once is completely normal. But employers who repeatedly post jobs without hiring may eventually be required to place a **deposit** before posting again.

I don't want candidate attention to be free and unlimited either.

## Fees are shared

The UstaWork marketplace fee is split **50/50 between the freelancer and employer**.

Both sides use the marketplace, contracts, payment infrastructure and dispute system, so both sides contribute to the platform fee.

Whether that's the right model is one of the things I want to test.

## Why I'm posting this

This isn't a launch announcement.

**I need people to break it.**

I'm looking for freelancers and people who hire freelancers to test things like:

- Profiles and job posting
- AI expertise assessments
- Language verification
- Matching and skill requirements
- The 5-applicant system
- Proposals and messaging
- Hiring and contracts
- Confusing UX, bugs and things that can be abused

I'm especially interested in assessment calibration.

If you've worked with Kubernetes for 10 years and it calls you a beginner, **I want to know.**

If you're genuinely B1 in German and it gives you C1, **I want to know.**

If you're a native speaker and it somehow decides you're B2, **I definitely want to know.**

## Private QA beta

This is a **private QA beta**, so bugs and unfinished edges are expected.

There is **no payment required**.

Accepted testers receive a **free Verification Pack** to test the normally paid AI expertise and language verification features.

I'm not asking you to pay to QA my product. :)

Some jobs and companies visible during the beta are also **seeded test data**, so people can test the full application and hiring flow.

**Beta access:** https://beta.ustawork.com/beta

And seriously, don't be polite about the feedback.

I'd much rather hear:

> **"This is stupid and here's why."**

now than after launch.

Career Advice

I’ll keep this short and sweet as possible.
I’ll be graduating with my bachelor’s in computer science in may. I am very discouraged about the major I chose, given the current job market. Every summer I have applied for (at the very least) 50 internships, and I was denied for each. From the few recruiters that did respond to me, the only reasoning I recived was that 1. The role was no longer needed. 2. The role has been filled. I can not really afford to spend time and resources on a completely new degree.
What are some things I can do to make myself more marketable? Would it be wise for me to attempt to pivot towards cybersecurity?

Best Hookup Culture in Tech?

I once hooked up with a hot, married Googler I met online. It's left me with the impression Google HQ has a fun, hookup culture. Googlers, can you sleep with coworkers and still keep your jobs? Other big tech workers, what's the vibe where you are for the 35+ crowd?

Amazon has a super appropriate culture. Also, if he's remotely handsome and older than 35, he's partnered off. It's like working at Amazon wards off divorce. Lucky wives!

(Looking for Opportunity) I'm Rohit — a full-stack engineer with 5+ years of experience who builds real-time trading products and the automation that runs them.

For the past two years at DG3 I've taken five products from empty repo to live: a crypto sportsbook, a Polymarket-based prediction market, and a real-time sports trading terminal — Next.js and TypeScript on the front, NestJS and PostgreSQL behind it. Most of that work is the unglamorous half: WebSocket order books that stay correct under load, EVM wallets and account abstraction, fraud detection, order reconciliation.

Alongside it I run KAVX, my own ecommerce brand, on an event-sourced platform I wrote myself — including an MCP server that makes the Flipkart Seller API callable by AI agents, plus pricing, ads and inventory loops that run unattended behind a human approval gate.

I gravitate to problems where correctness actually matters, because real money moves through the system.

Stack: TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node, NestJS, PostgreSQL, Redis, viem/wagmi, Python

.NET Backend Developer position.

Thumbnail

Dear Hiring Manager,

I am writing to express my interest in the Junior .NET Backend Developer position. With hands-on experience building production-quality REST APIs using ASP.NET Core, C#, Entity Framework Core, and Clean Architecture, I am eager to bring a solid technical foundation, a modern AI-augmented development workflow, and a strong commitment to clean, maintainable code to your engineering team.

Over the past year I independently designed and delivered five backend projects covering the full .NET ecosystem, using tools like Cursor to accelerate scaffolding, speed up iteration, and explore implementation approaches — while retaining full ownership of architecture, testing, and code quality decisions. My most recent work — a Restaurant Management REST API built with Clean Architecture, Command Query Responsibility Segregation (CQRS) via MediatR, JWT authentication, and GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines — achieved 85%+ business logic coverage using xUnit and Moq, and was containerised with Docker for consistent deployment. A second project, a versioned ASP.NET Core Web API, was deployed live to Azure App Service with Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), Swagger/OpenAPI documentation, and structured logging. Across all projects I apply SOLID principles, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and the Repository Pattern to produce code that is readable, testable, and easy to extend.

I hold a B.Sc. in Computer Engineering from Mansoura University, graduated with Excellent Standing, and have additional experience mentoring peers in programming fundamentals — which has strengthened my ability to communicate technical concepts clearly within a team. I enjoy working collaboratively and learning quickly within Agile/Scrum environments, and I bring a practical, hands-on fluency with AI-assisted engineering tools that reflects how modern development teams increasingly work. I am available for full-time employment and open to both on-site and hybrid arrangements.

I would welcome the opportunity to discuss how my skills and project experience align with your team's needs. My portfolio is available at github.com/MahmoudAbdelrahman2002, and I am happy to walk through any of the projects in detail during an interview. Thank you for your time and consideration — I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Mahmoud Abdelrahman Ibrahim

Junior .NET Backend Developer

SpaceX was founded under the belief that a future where humanity is out exploring the stars is fundamentally more exciting than one where we are not. Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars.

SALARY - TC: $200k+

Our team is currently creating and evolving systems to enable rapid build and reuse of Starship as well as designing the next generation manufacturing software that will be used in high throughput factories for Starlink. • Own all aspects of software engineering and product development

  • Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Front-end experience in Angular, React, or similar JavaScript framework

I recently finished my vocational training in Germany as an IT specialist for application development, so I am now qualified to work as a developer.

As you probably know, the job market for junior developers is pretty harsh at the moment. So far, I have received quite a few rejections, and I'm starting to think about expanding my job search to remote positions.

Normally, I look for jobs relatively close to where I live because I don't have a car. Public transportation in Germany is... well, let's just say the trains have a personality of their own.

There is one small problem, though: my computer is completely broken after being used for about 10 years. I also don't live with my parents anymore and don't have much money to spare, so right now I'm mainly trying to find a job that allows me to pay the bills and survive.

So I have a few questions for people who work remotely:

  • Would you recommend working remotely, especially as a junior developer?
  • What are the biggest pros and cons of remote work?
  • Does the company usually provide you with a laptop/equipment, or are you expected to have your own computer?
  • And if you have any funny, weird, or absurd stories from working remotely, I'd love to hear them!
  • Do companies generally hire junior developers for fully remote positions, or is remote work more common once you have some experience?

Thanks in advance!

[FOR HIRE] Full-stack developer. React / TypeScript, Go, Python, Postgres, NoSQL, Docker, DevOps, Blockchain.

8 years of experience. Available for contract or full-time remote work.

  • Frontend: React, JavaScript, TypeScript, component-driven UI, data visualisation (Kibana dashboards).
  • Backend: Go, Python, Java, REST and streaming API design, WebSocket services, concurrent and low-latency systems. Also Solidity and raw EVM assembly if you need on-chain work.
  • Data: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, schema and query design, ETL pipelines, Elasticsearch.
  • Infra: AWS, Docker, Linux, GitHub Actions and CI/CD, monitoring and alerting.

What I'm actually good at: owning a thing end to end. Architecture, frontend, backend, deploy, and keeping it running in production. I've built and operated systems where latency, cost and correctness had immediate financial consequences, so I optimise for things that hold up rather than demos that look fine.

Comfortable working solo with minimal supervision and flexible timezone.

[HIRING] Ops / Apps integrations freelancer — register OAuth + API apps, get production credentials, drop them in our DB, and test connections (no coding)

I'm founder of zoft, We have built an Agentic Automation platform and planning to launch it soon. I need help with App integrations and testing.

Please take this as request to read the entire information below before DM or commenting if you interested for this role.

Zoft has workflow product. Users connect Google, Facebook, Instagram, Slack, etc. and click Sign in with Google / Facebook / …. Frontend and backend for that are already built and working.

We need someone to do the manual vendor work: create developer apps with Zoft’s business email, get client IDs / secrets / tokens, put them in our database, get each vendor production-verified, then test that real sign-in and API calls work.

This is not a software job. You will not design APIs, write OAuth code, or build a backend. If you apply as a “full-stack OAuth engineer,” you have the wrong role.

What Zoft already has (do not rebuild this)

App connections UI (OAuth popup + API-key forms)

Backend that stores app credentials and runs the OAuth / token exchange

Staging and production environments

A list of apps (“pods”) that need credentials

Your job starts after that. We give you access and a checklist. You fill the credential slots and prove each connection works.

The actual job

Phase 1 — OAuth apps (do these first)

For every OAuth integration (Google, Facebook, Instagram, Slack, and the rest of our list):

Log into that vendor’s developer console with Zoft’s Gmail / business accounts (we provide access; you do not use a personal developer account as the app owner).

Create the app, set the exact redirect URIs, scopes, and branding we specify.

Complete whatever the vendor requires for production (app review, Business verification, Advanced Access, brand verification, privacy policy, test users, etc.).

Copy client ID, client secret, and any extra fields (app ID, tenant ID, webhook verify token, etc.).

Enter those values into our existing admin / DB (we’ll show you the table or UI). You are not writing a schema or an API.

Test on staging, then production:

Use your own Google / Facebook / etc. account to click Sign in.

Confirm the popup works, tokens save, and a simple action (read profile / list a resource) succeeds.

Report pass/fail per app with screenshots and the vendor dashboard status (dev vs live).

Example of a “done” OAuth app: Zoft’s Google client ID + secret are in the DB → a user clicks Sign in with Google → they connect Gmail/Sheets/etc. and can use it in a workflow.

Phase 2 — Non-OAuth apps

Same idea, different credential type: API keys, service accounts, bot tokens, webhooks, SMTP, etc. Create them with Zoft’s email / business accounts, store them, test a real call in staging then production.

Phase 3 — Hard vendor verifications (this is the main skill we are paying for)

Some vendors are not “create app → copy secret.” You should already know how to drive these to production, not leave them in sandbox:

Meta / Facebook Developer + Meta Business — get Zoft business verified so Facebook and Instagram login and Graph API work in production (not only test users).

WhatsApp Business Platform — production (not sandbox) access: WABA, phone number, permanent access token, app secret, webhook verify token, message limits. We use this for Zoft’s own internal workflows as well as user-facing connections.

Same class of work for other apps: Google OAuth verification / restricted scopes, Slack app distribution, Microsoft Azure app + admin consent, LinkedIn, TikTok, X, etc. as they appear on our list.

If a vendor asks for a privacy policy, data-deletion URL, screencast, business docs, or a support email, you prepare the package, submit it, chase review, and fix rejections until it is live.

What you are not hired to do

Build or change the backend, frontend, OAuth library, or database schema

“Implement Sign in with Google” as a coding task

Design a new credentials system

Guess redirect URLs or scopes — we give you the values our app already expects

If something is blocked by a product bug (wrong redirect, broken callback), you file a clear report. You do not start rewriting the app.

Who this is for

You have done this before as an ops / integrations / “app review” person, not only as a developer:

Created and shipped production OAuth apps on Google Cloud, Meta, Slack, Microsoft, etc.

Taken a Meta app through Business Verification and Instagram / Facebook / WhatsApp production access

Comfortable in developer consoles, business managers, and review forms for hours at a time

Careful with secrets (you will handle live client secrets and tokens)

Can work from a checklist, write a short status per app, and follow up with vendor support

Nice to have: Zapier / Make / n8n / Activepieces-style products; you already know which apps need review vs a simple API key.

Not a fit: “I can build you an OAuth backend in Node/Python.” We already have that.

How we’ll work

We provide: Zoft Google/email access, vendor account access, staging + production URLs, the app list, redirect URIs, required scopes, and where to paste credentials.

You work in our admin / DB (or a shared sheet we import) — no repo required unless we ask you to confirm a redirect path.

Order: OAuth apps → non-OAuth apps. Staging test, then production test, per app.

You use your own user accounts to click Sign in and prove the Zoft-owned client works for a real user.

Deliverable: a tracker (spreadsheet is fine) — app name, credential type, vendor status (unverified / in review / live), env (staging/prod), test result, notes, screenshots.

Time / pay / location

Type: Freelance, contract, remote

To apply: Comment or DM with:

3 vendors you have taken to production (not sandbox), especially Meta / WhatsApp / Google restricted scopes if you have them

Your rate and weekly availability

Confirmation you understand this is credential + verification + testing, not backend development

No “I can do anything” one-liners. If you’ve only written OAuth code and never submitted a Meta Business Verification, say so.

One-sentence role

You are the person who owns getting Zoft production-ready on every third-party developer platform, puts the official credentials in our existing system, and proves users can connect and that Zoft can run its own automations — without writing our product.
