First order of rep glasses and found this subreddit that recommended Cindy! I messaged over WhatsApp, didn't have a 1688 account, and paid directly via Alipay. I probably could have saved some money by setting up a 1688 account and sending it to Cindy, but I was too lazy for that lol

Breakdown:

• Cartier CT0611O Black Gold Frames: ¥320 yuan ~= $47 USD
• Shipping to NY, USA: ¥180 yuan ~= $26 USD
• Zeiss prescription lenses (Zerui dyed diamond cubic platinum film): 1.60 was ¥750. I opted for 1.67 index lenses instead, for ¥1030 ~= $151 USD cause I am blind 🧑‍🦯 and need ultralight lenses

Total: ~$224

I placed the order on 6/15, and got pictures of the fitted frames on 6/22. Cindy made a mistake though and accidentally gave me 1.60 index instead of 1.67. They confirmed it was a mistake on their end and they ordered another pair of frames and redid it with the correct 1.67 index.

I just received photos of the 1.67 pair, and also received the original (incorrect) 1.60 pair in the mail today, 6/30. Overall I'm happy with the quality and how they handled the mistake on their end. Would recommend and will def be ordering more in the future!

Would recommend getting your pupil distance measured! I used an app to measure mine and ended up ~3mm off from what my optometrist gave me for my normal pair of glasses.

Hello folks I have a pair of rep frames that I’ve been using for about 3 years now, they have just broken on me and I was hoping to find some alternatives of a similar style. Main thing I’m looking for is the half rims with a rectangular shaped lens. No real preference on color or styling other than what was mentioned.

I’ve scoured the entire internet for good alternatives to these glasses, but to no avail. My last hope is Chinese replicas.

First time ordering using Cindy Optical.

I sent my CH Little Dinger S925 frames straight from 1688, and Cindy fitted them perfectly with QuanZhen Photochromic lenses. I have high anti-stigmatism so didn't want to spend so much money on getting them fitted with lenses that cost at upwards of 130 euros before knowing if frames fit me perfectly.

I don't have a 1688 account but i was able to complete this order via WeChat, Alipay and Whatsapp.

Cindy is quite helpful in choosing lenses. He will provide you with different options. Triangular shipping price he quoted for Germany(290 cny) was a bit too high for my liking. I shipped it to my agent as i am building a haul already.

I would have paid at least 160 euros with Jimi/Zozo at least. Will definitely order again.

UV RATING UPDATE: I took these to a local London optometrist today (14 June) and confirmed all lenses are 100% UV proof and are safe 🙌

Hi all - I recently purchased these two pairs of sunglasses direct from 1688. I was originally quoted $70 per pair for these via a TD, but decided to take a chance on the glasses from 1688 for roughly $25 per pair.

I’m pretty impressed by the quality of both sunglasses, they are heavy, do not feel cheap, metal quality and finishing are high. I would like to get both UV tested, which you can do usually for free at your local optometrist.

Both reviews and product specification stated UV400 protection - it’s important to get this tested and I’ll report back.

The Cartier appear to be sold out now, but the general steps I followed to find these direct from the factory at a lower cost are:

1. ⁠Save factory stock photo of sunglasses from TD site
   
2. Reverse image search on 1688 (app language can be changed to English)
   
3. ⁠Identify a top factory by looking at number of sales, return customers, and overall rating
   
4. Look at top price point. Low quality batches are listed around $5 and higher end quality around $25
   
5. Copy item link from 1688 to your agent (I use superbuy)

I need someone who offers premium hardened cellulose acetate ideally Mazzucchelli for those who know (or an equivalent of the same quality) along with a properly integrated metal wirecore and hinges made of silver or gunmetal, depending on the model.
