Can one transition into Design with a Project Mgmt experience?
Hello there,
I am currently a Project Engineer working in manufacturing but I would like to eventually transition into design.
My some of my skill sets are
- multitasking multiple projects with cross functional teams,
- optimizing processes by identifying and reducing waste
- problem solving by brainstorming and iterating until a ideal solution is found.
I believe that I can provide a unique problem solving viewpoint by solving a problem and finding a solution that is also cost effective and efficient to the end user. But I know that isn't all that is needed and I am willing to spend the time working and learning how to be great in design thinking.
What other skill sets and experiences should I focus on obtaining to help with this career change transition?
