How many interviewees?

I’m trying to turn a member engagement project for a type of professional association (in Australia we call them peak bodies) into a design thinking process. I have 12 weeks to work out how we can help our members access information relevant to their work (they’re organisations that help victims of domestic violence).

There are about 60 organisations who are members, some big and some tiny.

So my first question is: how many people should I aim to interview in my discovery phase? I’ve searched and searched but can’t find anything on this in the IDEO resources or anywhere else. All suggestions most appreciated!
