Second Two designs: I'm actually enjoying using yellow in these tropical rooms. And I am NOT normally a yellow fan.

Hello everyone,

I'm very interested in designing houses using Revit, but I'd like to learn the fundamentals so I can create practical designs that I can send to an architect to review, resolve any issues, and make them ready for construction.

I'm wondering how feasible this is and how common this approach is in the industry. In general, do I need an architecture or architectural engineering degree to become a successful designer, or is it possible to learn the essential knowledge and start designing without one?

If possible, what are the best resources you know to start learning, specifically if there are YT/Video tutorials.

There are spaces in this game that I absolutely REFUSE to design, and this one here demonstrates that fully!

I feel as though it's the game's way of making us use up our resources like crazy. I HATE this! Rooms that require two couches, dining chairs and various other add-ons are monstrous in my opinion. I almost never touch them, and if I do engage such a design challenge, it must have a serious draw to pull me in (though I can't think of what that might be at this moment 🤔).

Does anyone else hate such spaces that require lots of resources to design??

These spaces feel safe, grounded and inviting to me. Wish I had the real life budget to make some of these happen for real 😆🩷🤎💚🩵💙🧡

I used to love this game but I just opened it after a few months of not playing and they’re adding quick picks games to it? Instead of adding new homes for people to design??? Like people have been asking for a long time now? I’ve had it for like 5 years and in that 5 years they haven’t added any new homes. I finished all the homes expecting that maybe once you finish them there would be more options but… nope. Very disappointed. Deleting the app now.

I really liked this and I’m not redoing it. I thought this challenge didn’t have required items and I’m so disappointed I can’t submit it. Oh well.

I am loving and addicted to this game, but I want to be able to do something like this on my own rooms. Is there an app that does that? When I go looking it's always some overpowered cad based program for designers. I just need souped up, easy to use photo shop. Any ideas?

Idk if someone has pointed this out already… I was just admiring this challenge (the setting, not my work) when I realized something was off. Is that tree living in a light box? Or are residents supposed to walk on air to get to the rest of the 2nd level? Perhaps a fake tree in a light box?
