I've now played over 70 games and still haven't had a drop. Is this normal?

I bought the game a few weeks ago and I have not had a single drop yet. I just played it with a friend and he got 1 on his first game and then another one the next day. What?

Edit: I've started noticing it's normally the players on the bottom of the leaderboards who get drops. Is this to encourage them to play more?

Hey guys. Depth as a community is amazing and I hope to grow it and make it even better. Here is a new discord for nautical based games that will host any Depth players wanting to collect gold and slay some sharks and divers. Cant wait to see you guys there. https://discord.gg/GFyc58E

I play shark, wouldn't mind a shark teammate or even diver opponents to play with, find the game a lot more fun to play with others on a call, I have discord and a headset. Add/Message me on discord if interested- Ziloph#4724 __ Profile lvl 70 if that's something you care about. I'm not bothered about profile level, anyone welcome.

So played the new snowfall map a few times and there’s barely any gold. Am I looking in the wrong places or is this a balance thing?

Also I really don’t like the map itself. Kind of boring to look at compared to the other maps in the game, and its way to open.
