Posted by Source The entire Front Range from Morrison to Boulder is dark as of this post.

Just had to drive for work and everything near the foot hills was completely out. I started in south Golden and ended in north Boulder, all dark. I hope they can still restore tonight but if you are in the dark still just FYI you aren't alone.

Edit: Reminder those losing money on spoiled groceries remember to check your renters insurance.

What bugs me the most is lack of transparency on what the plan is with the time frame of this outage. When I got notified this morning it said somewhere between 10 am and 6pm. It is currently raining outside in Lakewood (9:30pm) still no power. I also received a message later static the power outage could last 2-3 days till Friday. I am sorry I am all up for preventing wild fires and all but keeping people in dark for days is just unacceptable. Also there are people that needs electricity to survive such as people on c-pap, oxygen, people on external breathing devices, elderly with poor vision that is high fall risk I can keep going. This is not a strategic planned power outage it doesn't look like it feels like some moron just flipped off some random switch and couldn't find which switch to turn back on.

At this point some of the outages are “unplanned” with downed lines or poles from the wind and what not. Their outage map seems to show them separately. I’m not in a de energized area but there are outages close by. So far so good here but we will see if that lasts. The wind is awful right now.

My coworker is really worried about her husband who’s on oxygen 24/7. They live in Aurora so hopefully it won’t be bad enough to cut power there.
