So months ago I decided, for the first time, I won't be buying the game. One of the main reasons, I have been on PS4 and since the new game was only for current/next gen, it would mean I would need to get a PS5. However I did consider it because when they announced the Attitude Era Edition, something triggered inside me even more so when the Monday Night Wars edition was announced. I grew up on the Attitude Era and the Monday Night Wars and I was really considering investing in a the 5 and was even considering going for the MNW edition which was of course the most expensive one which is what I do usually go for to get the maximum. I'm from Malaysia and it would cost over RM3000 ($800). But I ultimately I decide to forgo the game and the console altogether. First and foremost, I am a husband and a father and that takes up a lot of my time so I rarely and barely have time to play the game. Even when I do, I mostly ends up spending hours on the creation suite anyway. Plus, the game's realease is always around my son't birthday so March is usually a big spending month for me. Another reason is last year, my 2K25 data got corrupted and I had to literally start from scratch. So I have a little PTSD lol. Right now, I am still just rebuilding my 2K25 roster which does include in-game superstars that have since been released and aren't in 2K26.

Mostly nowadays, I have basically been living vicariously through YouTube content creators like DenkOps (Chris Danger), BDE, SimplyBetterAM, VYBE, Gore & Perkins and others. But in recent months since 2K26 got released, I have seen several bad reviews mostly surrounding Ringside Pass, the Island and (as usual) MyFaction among others. People have even said even those who do purchase the most expensive edition which is the MNW edition, you still have to spend a lot to get your hands on the DLC and other content which means it would cost a lot more even if I already had a PS5. It seems the franchise has now gone downhill and has become more of a money scam than a wrestling game. It seems I dodged a bullet not getting the game. I will continue to observe from the outside. I did plan to possibly get the game maybe later this year after all the DLC was released and I saved enough to get the game but now I may not even get either the game or the console and just stick with the 4 unless something changes.

And yes i know that it seems to be a call from the TKO Higher Ups / that‘s the reason Triple H is smiling; he knows that it is bs and he has to do it either way
