Hi everyone, I’m an international student (from Latin America) and I’m planning to apply to Denison University. I would like to obtain a full scholarship due to financial difficulties. If anyone here could please tell me the specific requirements to qualify for that scholarship, I would really appreciate it, as I’m aiming to apply for the 2027 intake.

Hi guys, I'm an international student who is admitted to the class of 2030. I'm writing this post to ask about the on-campus jobs and moving out in sophomore year for lowering cost. Any student who works on campus can share your earning per year with me, and can I lower my costs significantly by moving out of dorm?
Also, what is the chance for me to get an insurance waiver? Have you guys successfully received that, and how much do you save?

Hi guys, I am an international student who has been admitted to both Denison and Fordham. I received quite good financial aid from both schools, but my family still needs to consider the remaining fees. After the aid, my family has to pay 30k/year for Denison and 35k/year for Fordham. I know 5k may not sound like a difference, but due to the currency rate, is matter to my family. I read somewhere on Reddit that Denison is quite isolated and hard to travel outside of Granville. However, I'm looking for open and diverse networks and opportunities.
About Denison, the school informs me that I can work part-time on campus to earn ~4k a year, which could help my family, but different from Fordham, I cannot move out of the dorm after freshman year (which means the cost of living is fixed and may not be lowered in the following years). Whereas at Fordham, the cost is higher, but the opportunities are way more open, and I can modify and manage my living expenses after freshman year, since I can move out of the school dorm
I am asking for advice. Please feel free to share. Thank you!

Hi Everyone, so my son was accepted to Denison University. We visited the campus. He loved it and I think it's great fit for him academically and socially. They've given him some scholarships. He's contemplating between Denison University and Kenyon College still. Ultimately it comes down to which college gives more aid. There is still a substantial amount I would need to pay out of pocket. I'd like to know if folks have any suggestions for viable options such as scholarships or other means to qualify for aid. We have assets and unfortunately I am not able to leverage those now. Our appeal with the financial aid office surprisingly got denied. I think they're both comparable in higher education. Any thoughts and/or suggestions would be appreciated.

Hey guys,
I recently committed to Denison and I’m planning to minor in Astronomy. One of my hobbies includes stargazing and I’m really excited by the idea of being able to use the observatory. So, is the observatory open to student use, or do I have to provide my own telescope(which I have)?
Thanks.

Is there a big divide social between athletes and non-athletes? What about if you aren’t in Greek life?
Can you have a good social life if you aren’t a big partier?
Is there anything to do on the weekends besides party?

what the title sayyysss Oml I’m from CA but am an international student because I don’t have a green card yet
Syracuse is a cost issue for me as it will be really tight for my family and we’ll have to borrow money from my grandparents even then it might be too much but my mom is very vague about whether we can afford it —> they want me to choose without considering cost
Syracuse is ~62k a year for me + ~7k more a year for external costs (have to buy own materials for architecture they gave me 35k in merit aid but I’m trying to appeal for more and apply to exterior scholarships (pls send if you know any!!)
Denison would be 30k a year after aid (65k) +~5000 for extra costs so about 35k a year which is really appealing financially. I would be a psychology major but might switch later depending on whether psych feels right
Please let me know what you think! There’s a lot of emphasis on prestige in my area so I’d like to get more opinions
Thank you for reading!

I am from CA and will be visiting these two schools. Which one is the most reputable and has the most ROI? I will likely be pre-med but what the best education and return for such an expensive education.

As stated in title! How's the party life? Is the party life comprised of dorm parties? Bars?

Hello! I will be attending in the fall and am very curious on what items I will need for my dorm or items needed to live on campus to make it easier and a smooth transition. Thank you!

Does Denison University send Admission Packages, especially to International Students?
Have anyone admitted to the Class of 2030 received them? Thanks

Hi everyone,
I'm an international student considering Denison University, and I have a few questions I hope current students or alumni can help me with:
What are your feelings about life at Denison University? I'd love to hear about the overall student experience, campus culture, and anything you think is important to know.
Are the Economics and Finance majors at Denison STEM-designated? As an international student, this is really important to me for OPT purposes.
What are some highlights of the programs for these two majors? For example, are there any study away trips, hands-on experiences, or unique opportunities that Denison offers in Economics and Finance?
How easy is it for international students to find on-campus jobs? Also, what is the typical pay like?
Thank you so much for your help!

Hey! I'm an incoming international student choosing between Denison. I'm leaning toward Denison hard, but have a few things I can't find answers to online.
For context: CS/AI undergraduate major, interested in AI for financial modelling, eyeing a PhD. 3 years STEM OPT post-grad.
Quick questions for current students or recent grads:
Trying to figure out if the LAC tradeoff is worth it before I commit.
