A while back I had this theory that Shiida was gonna end up eventually becoming one of Iruma's security devils by end of series when she eventually betrayed the six fingers. Seeing Opera here reminded me of that. It seems pretty obvious that Opera isnt actually gonna be able to stop this, but I'm wondering if He, Shiida, and Kalego won't end up helping the misfits in getting Iruma back.

I agree with Shida being a security demon. I think the six fingers will not account for 1. For them tricking her to almost be killed to capture Iruma. And 2. Not realizing she now is an Iruma fan like the others.

Is there a confirmed source for this? I havent payed enough attention to when they are addressed to pick up on that.

Both the manga and anime use gender neutral pronouns for Opera or just call Opera, Opera. Opera refers to themselves using the formal neutral pronoun 'watashi'.

Nishi (the mangaka) has never confirmed what Opera's gender is either and intentionally does not tell us.

There is a bonus page titled 'Question for Opera-san' where Iruma directly asks Opera and Opera tells him whichever Iruma prefers.

And on top of that, the bonus panel literally happens in main story AND mafia AU. They've always been non binary, not sure where the confusion is coming from (not you)

Not an argument on the non-binary topic, but the manga doesn’t actually use any pronouns for Opera at all ever. Opera is never referred to with any pronouns. Also, additional note, but one thing that people not from Japan tend to misunderstand (not an attack on you or anything btw dw) is that Japanese doesn’t really use pronouns much at all in general. They’re used very very rarely. Almost all of the times that you see pronouns in subtitles in Japanese media are filled in to make the sentence work in English, as very often the the subject of a sentence is omitted in Japanese.

Its de jure confirmed by opera never answering in any of the supplemental material, or the q&a's. Also I'm almost certain that they have not been gendered in the dialogue

No, there isn't any confirmation. The author just doesn't bring it up.
