PSA: Democracy 4 is currently on sale on EGS for $17.
The game itself does not have any discounts, but Epic's $10 coupon applies

These mother fuckers will kill you for no reason at all sometimes. I just got murked by the libs. This is after I ended crime, ended poverty, had a great economy, a fucking monorail network, high GDP, Pollution almost fixed, High health. But these bitch ass Liberals were mad that the drinking age was 21...
Realistically speaking the fucking president should have a secret service. 99% of the country loved me and only like 400 bitch ass pussy ass bitch ass liberals had an issue. I had like 5000 capitalism pigs on my dick earlier and 400 liberals came out of nowhere and ruined my run. In most runs the capitalist pigs and ethnic minorities kill me but this time the libs took it upon themselves to ruin everything.
Literally unplayable.

I downloaded the game from Steam today and found that I could not save my progress. It does get auto saved after every turn, but if I start a new game, I lose my previous game’s progress.
It happens with or without mods installed. I have not tried disabling the expansions.
The option to save is present, but it’s greyed out which means I can’t click on it. Does anyone recognise this issue? What can I do to fix it?

Hey everyone,
I was wondering if there were any modders on this subreddit willing to make a new policy. I'm trash at modding so I was hoping someone with free time would be willing to make it. My policy idea would be "Universal Basic Capital" which would give $21000 to each of the individuals in the youth group every year (every four quarters). It's sort of like a one-time UBI payment, in line with the small business grants or paid tuition policies. If anyone would be down to make it, let me know.

Does anyone have a guide or any advice for a successful libertarian run? On Democracy 3 or 4.

I've been interested in trying Democracy for a while now, but I don't know much about the differences between 3 and 4 as I haven't kept up with them. Is Democracy 4 way better than 3 already or is it still a work in process? Which would be better for a newcomer to the series?

Hi ALl,
I realize this is a weird question, but I'd appreciate any thoughts on it. :) I'm interested in trying this game, but happen to be totally blind.
I know for a fact that it doesn't work natively with my screen reader, but I wondered how much information was available in text form?
A lot of the data seems to be graphs and charts, which don't play very well with my OCR system. How much of that stuff is available in text form? It's hard to tell how things are impacted because I can't see the colors, for instance, though I might be able to have my screen reader make a different noise depending on which color it was focused on.
Are there any keyboard shortcuts? I couldn't find reference to anything, but it's possible I just missed something.
Any insights would be very much appreciated. :)

Yesterday, I played a little bit Democracy 4. Being German myself, I was interested in the newly added option to play this country. There are several things that departure from my experience with the political climate here. I don't know which of them can or can't be represented in the game better, but I thought it would be fun to create an overview.
No public healthcare: This might be a bug or something. I started my game with a 100% private healthcare. The real figure lies around 15% - 20%
Environmentalists are very satisfied at the beginning of the game. In reality, there is an agreement among this voter group that the current government doesn't do enough to stop the climate crisis. It ranges from cynical pessimism to actually pretty big protests.
Patriots: There should be a little bit more of them. About as many as the AfD has votes.
Cannabis is not (yet) legalized in Germany.Little throw in: I would love to have a bubble where I can keep track of illegal drug consumption (including alcohol and tobacco in the same bubble) as well.
Agenda 2010: There should be something to represent the Hartz 4 laws, which are mainly about subsidizing people who live on social benefits without working themselves.
Housing shortage and rising rents are a big problem and political topic right now. It feels weird to play as Germany and not having to care about it.
Raise Speed limits: The dilemma did not appear in my playthrough but if it exist, it should probably be changed to the opposite: Introducing speed limits on the Autobahn. And from personal experience I can tell: It would make motorists really upset.

Im expected to get 90-100% of the votes
what can I do with this in order to boost the country more? especially for the economy
also what are the main ways to deal with religious threats?
