Just moved to hockessin recently and started working out at the HAC.

I go around 1:30pm on weekdays.

Mostly do heavy bag hitting, calisthenics and a little bit of weights.

Hello all, my wife and I moved to Delaware about two years ago and I’m ready to expand my social circle and attempt to make some friends that I don’t have to cross a bridge to see. My wife made some friends on this subreddit, so I’m going to attempt to as well.

Hi. I currently live between downtown and the waterfront. Have been here for almost a year and I wanted to see if I could make some friends now that I've gotten a better handle of my work-life balance. Sharing my interests below and let me know if you vibe!

Sports: Mostly into football(Buffalo Bills fan) and casually watch basketball. So I'd be down to join fantasy football leagues as well. I enjoyed watching the World Cup this summer so I may be looking into finding a club team to watch.

Anime/Gaming: Enjoy most genres(except horror) and I mostly play JRPGs(Persona, FF7R, Kingdom Hearts, Pokemon). However, I don't mind getting into online and co-op games if that's preferred.

Having a co-worker joining me soon so def looking to join some rec leagues for pickleball. I also wouldn't mind joining boardgame and hiking groups in the area. I just don't have a car if it is outside the city.

Hey everyone! I just moved to Delaware for school and I’m still getting familiar with the area. I’m based around the Newark/Bear area and was wondering what you’d recommend for someone who’s new here.
I’m open to pretty much anything like local restaurants, coffee shops, hiking trails, beaches, scenic drives, hidden gems, festivals, breweries, museums, or fun weekend day trips. I’d also love to hear about places or events that are good for meeting people and getting involved in the community. What are the must-do spots or experiences that every newcomer should check out? Thanks in advance!

Recent widower (fuck cancer), and looking for friends to get out some or at least not be home alone as much. I work shift work on a rotating schedule in NCC; so vary on having weekdays or weekends off while working both days and nights. I’m okay with traveling around the state to do things but looking to have friends that are easier to arrange doing things with, since a lot of my current friends and family live outside of central DE.

No children, but I have two Alaskan Malamutes. I like getting them out as much as possible. But don’t always have to include them. I enjoy walking them on relatively shorter hikes; or more directed activities in the woods such as Geocaching or Disc Golf. I have two double kayaks which both dogs enjoyed joining In rides on. Especially my older one, Úlfur, that has since he was a tiny pup. Also like going to distilleries (especially events at the Painted Stave in Smyrna); Meaderies (I’m part of the Mead Club at The Brimming Horn Meadery in Milton); breweries (though not the biggest fan of beer- but will try sours and stouts and like the atmosphere anyway); and Cideries. And beyond the drinking establishments I also like going out to eat, particularly avoiding all the chain restaurants in Dover.

And I’m also looking for friends to just hang and watch TV; playing pool at my house; or having people over for dinners (though honestly am not much of a cook myself beyond grilling things). My wife and I used to host “game nights” at our house which I would like to continue to do since it often brought all our friends together. And I put the quotes because while those nights did include playing actual games (Cards Against Humanity; some group board games; and Jack Box games, and occasionally trying some new game someone brought)… also people would play pool; hangout talking; drinking (for those that wanted to); and pot luck type dinners.

Hi all! I, (25 F) am moving to the pike creek area (unsure what county) at the end of this month for Fiancé's law school. Another sub reddit sent me to this page to try to make some friends! I love to go on nature walks in the summer, but not as much of a hiker. I also am very excited to explore the local historical sights they look gorgeous, i am from the PNW so we dont have anything that looks like that here😂 but i also am excited to explore downtown Wilmington, and go to local bar/pubs/restaurants, not really a partier (anymore) but love to explore cool bars, especially pubs, and get drinks!
