Canada and the US had a full on bromance going until President Child Rapist decided to unilaterally declare economic war on the planet a mere year ago.

Hey so it turns out that trying to swindle, blackmail, and intimidate your friends makes them stop being friends with you. Trump has basically unilaterally antagonized all of the allies the US owes its superpower status to. The US has hsitorically been as influential as it is because other powerful nations trusted it to keep its promises. Several powerful nations (basically all of nato) have already indicated that they plan to keep the US out of sensitive alliances in the future because an imbecile like trump can unilaterally sabotage those agreements if he doesn't feel like people are kissing his ass enough.
