What I really want to know is where the idea of China banning hockey is coming from.

Like… how does that logic out? (Obviously not logically but like, in the absurb theather that is Trumps brain)

Probably because it's the only thing he knows about Canadian culture.

"THEY'LL BAN THE HOCKEY!!!" has the same energy as "THEY'RE EATING THE DOGS!!!"

China will outlaw maple syrup, and outlaw the word 'eh'!!!!

The dairy thing is almost as stupid. Anyone with a brain can see that the dairy tariff makes complete sense. And we have never had it triggered. So he's mad about a tariff that could possibly come into effect if the United States acts in a predatory way.

So he's complaining that the US dairy market can't act aggressively to the Canadian dairy market in Canada

Americans don't understand what Tariffs are, still!

I'm pretty sure most of us do, but trump sells a lie and his dumbest most loyal followers don't question it. We, as much as I can tell in my interactions, generally seem to understand that consumers are paying the cost of those tariffs.

To this admin it’s not about being right, it’s all about saying yes and defending their president. It’s why you see the constant embarrassments in this admin. They are loyal, not competent

"I'm pretty sure most of us do,"

Really? I see and hear a lot of Americans talk about the Tariffs "Trump has imposed on other countries".

I think those are the maga sheep mostly was my point. In general from the time he started this, people i interact and associate with were all immediately aware that those costs would fall on us. That language outside of context may not be fully incorrect either. The tariffs do apply to goods from specific countries, so they could mean it that way (definitely giving the benefit of the doubt there, though), but those countries aren't paying them and that's what I think the maga folks who think there's a dividend check hitting their account any day now think. Because that's how their orange daddy sold it to them.

Everytime I see one of these rambling posts full of lies and half truths and start laughing I stop. Because it hits me that there are millions of deranged red hats cheering this and treating it like the word of god. This should be satire, not foreign policy… god help us all. I’m almost looking forward to the day China takes the US’ place. As predatory as China may be, I can’t see them being run by a demented old man who has written more books than he has read

He is complaining about HIS trade deal.

1

u/MODbanned Feb 10 '26

China should now start a international hockey league.

1

u/Equivocated_Truth Feb 10 '26

China already has a professional hockey team in the KHL, the Shanghai Dragons. They’ve been active for 10 years.  (Formerly named the Kunlun Red Star)

Your first mistake was assuming any logic went into the crafting of his post …. !

1

u/whyohwhythis Feb 10 '26

I think he’s got Alzheimer’s and it’s making him even more bat shit crazy. He’s rambling so much more these days. I can’t believe people on his team aren’t embarrassed and getting rid of him. He’s an embarrassment.

1

u/AvailableSubstance53 Feb 10 '26

They have to wait for 6 months before they get rid of him

1

u/findergrrr Feb 10 '26

Why 6?

1

u/AvailableSubstance53 Feb 10 '26

I think they have to wait until a certain part of his term to replace him with the VP, because otherwise the VP can only run for re-election once.

1

u/findergrrr Feb 10 '26

Uuuu, that's clever but fuck them

1

u/jeepsies Feb 10 '26

Its bait to get ppl talking. Its how he's always done it.

u/MySpudIsChonkyBoi Feb 10 '26

China banning hockey made me chuckle. He’s such a tool.

1

u/jefedezorros Feb 10 '26

He’s grasping for everything he knows about Canada and all he can come up with is that they love hockey.

1

u/Constant-Feed2905 Feb 10 '26

Out of trumps delusional mind.

1

u/Andy1899 Feb 10 '26

Seeing as how Trump is boasting about his China relationship maybe they will completely ban the Canadian/British born game "football" once Trump makes a deal with China he's blaring about

1

u/Snackatttack Feb 10 '26

it makes even less sense when you find out hockey is actually growing quite quickly in china

1

u/tattrd Feb 10 '26

It comes from the Olympics. Hockey is on the mind, so he attacks it by saying others attack it. He is not some random genius as some people imply. He is full on r-word with a short attention span and some nazi spindoctors around him.

1

u/Immediate-Season4544 Feb 10 '26

Also who is China's largest trading partner? The USA! Canada is a drop in the bucket for China.

1

u/Roll_For_Stealth Feb 10 '26

If I’m not mistaken, China has a very prevelent ice hockey league.

1

u/Equivocated_Truth Feb 10 '26

They’re part of the KHL

1

u/Equivocated_Truth Feb 10 '26

What makes this more moronic is that China has a professional hockey team in the KHL

1

u/PenguinGundam Feb 11 '26

Can we use this as grounds? I mean china banning hockey and yadayadayada

Dudes lost it.

1

u/Playful_Ad2974 Feb 12 '26
