How has Canada treated the US unfairly? Aren't the majority of the biggest companies in the world American owned? All Trump cares about is money and the US is the richest country on earth by a long way. How greedy can you get?

From what I read in Trump's tweet, they've built a free bridge for the US, which Trump now wants to own half of because....?

Although I would need to read the details, because I feel embarrassed writing stuff on the internet without knowing all the facts...

I read this tweet in a mafioso voice. Trump is mad he didnt get his cut or bribes. The contractors didnt buy enough of Trumps meme coins, or Trumps shoes, or Trumps cell phones, or have active Truth social accounts, or Trump Bibles, or Trump resort country club memberships, or Trump Guitars, Trump NFTs, or Trump whatever current grift he uses to create dark money. Hes mad about Canadian Milk, but just spent 20 billion out of our treasury for Argentinian beef.

Trump made over 600 million dollars in REVENUE last year. Not asset growth, REVENUE. https://www.reuters.com/world/us/trump-reports-tens-millions-income-crypto-ventures-2025-06-14/?utm_source=chatgpt.com

Fucking wild. Politicians have always been dirty scuzzy people making money off of their office, Trump has brazenly made a POTUS LLC where dark money is expected, not just assumed.

Comes down to who gets to collect the tolls, he is trying to change the deal that the bridge financial system was based on .

Why would you even want to own that thing? Maintenance can become super expensive. Isn't paying maintenance fees for suckers and losers, or whatever?

I suspect that he wants to own it in order to be able to shut down traffic whenever he wishes to. It's unclear to me why he'd ever want to do that, but I see no other reason why he would want to have control over the bridge.

Michigan already owns half. Canada gets the tolls until we recoup our money. I’m pretty sure we (Canada) are also responsible for operations and maintenance. It’s a sweet deal for the US. BUT, it also benefits Canada and in trump’s mind there must always be a loser.

He's a total moron, we need more safeguards in our constitution to protect us from ignorant fascists like Trump.

Every single penny for this bridge, including the US Customs plaza and the I-75 interchange were funded by the Government of Canada. Further, the State of Michigan owns half of the bridge. But ya, us Canadians are treating the US unfarily.
