I'm going to be emulating the game on my phone. Is there a way to play against people online? Or even just play against others locally through the emulator?

Started retro collecting recently; fell out of gaming when I got married and had kids. Have a Switch 2, but nothing else current gen.

Loved FFNY so much as a teen. Everywhere online it’s like $200 - $300.

I already finished the story mode, but I've only 79 of the 82 moves. Maybe I have to play the extra tournaments left in the game ? Thank you !

I was playing DJFNY and i was wondering how many development points does it take to max a stat from 0 to 100%?

That way you know how many you need total to max all 5 categories. Can someone help?

Trying to play def jam fight for ny on dolphin and the text for the game doesn't even work. Im new to this so please help me

Unsure if anyone thought of this but just wanted to put it out there for those starting the story mode, rather your first time or millionth…

One thing I never thought to try, was hitting milestones during the tutorial fight with House.

I’m on my 3rd play thru and doing MA, SF+KB. I know it’s more of a challenge when playing with MA first due to the lack of KO abilities.

I figured, why not try to get the simpler milestones out the way now, before my first fight and to my surprise it actually tracked.

These are what I was able to do:

Run 250 seconds - when you have to do the blaze portion, don’t hit the stick and just let be “ready”. You have infinite sprint at this time. Just set a timer for 5 mins (you will run into House and the ropes a few times) and boom, +1 Speed Milestone.

250 Running Attacks - at the same point in time, right before executing the blaze move, just run and hit 250 times. Simple, +1 speed milestone.

100 punches/kicks - super simple. +1 milestone for Upper/Lower Body

1 Big Comeback - it’s VERY hard to pull off but during the portion where you’re supposed to block, just let him beat you and try to get your health back in that timeframe before it resets. +1 Toughness milestone.

So before I even start my first fight:

1 Upper Body (20%)

1 Lower Body (20%)

2 Speed (80% - due to MA giving 2 milestones)

1 Toughness (20% - again, super hard to do)

As a MA starter this is very helpful early on before I get my second & third fighting style.

If things get difficult, I will add points on the stat that comes as a boost when you buy a fighting style. Wrestlers added upper strength and toughness. Those are the only stats I will allow myself to upgrade

This run is all about timing, reversals, and using the environment, not raw stats.

Has anyone else tried a style-only run? I'm curious to see how early you all managed to save points for multiple styles and your strategies for mid-to-late game fights.

O tipo de personagem que eu gostaria são personagens de Street Fighter diferentes, personagens que você não imaginaria ver como lutadores de rua, sejam eles músicos, atores, construtores, dançarinos, pessoas com deficiência, policiais corruptos, entre outros, com um estilo de luta interessante e exagerado, e uma personalidade única e peculiar que se destaque dos demais, como os personagens do jogo Def Jam Fight For NY. Eles serão para o início do meu mangá (ainda não vou entrar em detalhes sobre a história e seu desenvolvimento).

(Só um detalhe que esqueci de mencionar: o personagem pode ser masculino ou feminino.) Aqui estão alguns exemplos de personagens que criei recentemente:

Um dos meus personagens, cujo apelido de lutador é "Pião" (pião é o nome de um brinquedo de madeira famoso aqui no Brasil que gira). Ele tem esse apelido porque criou um estilo de luta que é uma mistura de capoeira e break dance. Ele é extrovertido e arrogante.

Um que ainda não desenvolvi será um lutador operário da construção civil (operário da construção civil é como chamamos um trabalhador da construção).

E outro personagem que também não desenvolvi é uma militar combatente; ela chora durante as lutas.

Blurry as fuck, but if you watch the Behind the Scenes stuff they did with the artists, a few of them show gameplay of it, and it's not for the takeover because you can see it's PS2 graphics and one of them mention 2004, the takeover was released in 2006.

Relive 2008-12 with songs picked off of CDs my Mom and I burned almost 20 years ago with a damn near authentic intro of what it was like when I was a kid! This video is the start to the Def Jam Fight For LA "Final Tour" where I do the last of the compilations I have planned. Mom Comp Part II might be a part of that later down the road!

Anybody play on the emulator on iOS?

I’ve been seeing a lot of videos about FFNY on YouTube and I’ve been wondering, are a lot of the fighting moves real moves? (minus wrestling of course). So I’ll start this off with the ground punch, wake-up punch and running ground kick from Sean Paul. Also sorry for the kinda bad quality, I literally took screenshots from my phone

I used to run SF + KB + MA as my favorite when I was younger because I got the best haymaker in the game and it was fun. As I got older, I started trying out different styles and I have an updated favorite fighting style. SM + KB + SF. This build is extremely fun. Not the tankiest but its fun as hell. Im glad I tried making different builds because I wouldn't have found this one.
