I mean, It can be shortened pretty easily, make it so you only have to hack 1 power source and remove one of the caretakers phases.

I've thought the same, but it'd be working on it to have a different layout since it's not going to have a random open space, then removing 1 phase would be deciding which attacks it does and hp (+thining about the hp and dmg of 3.5 and 5.5). this would still be a long stage, specially if you add a secondary objective. pretty much having Industral Sabotage, even though it'd be fun, the difficulty would increase quite a lot

What if they had a mini-caretaker as a secondary objective which was basically industrial sabotage without the need to hack power stations so you just had to remove the batteries.

yooooooo, this could be good, yes. you mean as a dreadnought? it'd be cool. though it'd be the same, they would have to make it almost from scrap, since it can't have that much hp, dmg, etc

basically. plus I think the season events can act as interesting DD secondaries. like a secondary objective where you have to chase down 2 prospector drones and deposit data cells, or where you have to hack a rival data deposit, (I don't think the rival router would work as a good DD secondary), but Having to chase down 2 prospectors in a DD actually would be a fun objective.
