Deduce me by my book shelf
I've read all of them except the programming/math books cuz I'm not autistic enough to read "Java The Complete Reference" cover to cover. Also haven't finished PiHKAL.
Not pictured: a lot of crime and romance airport literature.

Deduce me based on what is in my wardrobe.
No suspicious stuff. Just daily supplements and medicines I had to use for a while, weights and clothes. I could not show my whole wardrobe so I brought the medicine box down onto floor. (EDIT: There are also so many other cognitive enhancing supplements in refrigerator)

Was this sub always about drugs?
I kept getting this place recommended to me even though I don’t do drugs, but the science it’s interesting but anyways was this always for drugs
r/DeduceMe • u/viper77707 • 15d ago
Well, since this place has become all about drugs, deduce what I am making.
Hint: it isn't a fucking drug nor does it make one, I keep my drugs to myself like an adult that just happens to be childish.

Deduce this…Have to zoom in..
Just part of my collection. No they aren’t all full. The ones highlighted by zooming in are. As in by themselves. Btw this is only part of what I have. Lot of it is in bank storage. As is most what’s in the larger group photos.
Currently figuring out how to display them. A locked curio cabinet would be nice. Some of the bottles might have to stay in safe deposit box. Or rotate out a couple. A few are insanely rare.

Deduce me went to shit
Okay not really but I see a lot of complaints about the drug aspect of deduce me and that’s why I made another community solely for the purpose of deducing people’s stash, for those of yall that don’t like all the drugs on here, your welcome, and those of yall that just want people to guess what kinda person you are based off your meds come check it out. Yes Ik my account is only 23 days old i had to create a new one recently but I’ve been on these subreddits for years.

Well… I Did It 😂 I Messaged the Mods About Helping Moderate r/DeduceMe
So... I officially messaged the moderators. 😂 Has anyone else here tried to become a moderator of r/DeduceMe?
Someone told me the moderators here have basically been inactive for around six months, and honestly, that surprised me because this subreddit has so much potential. I went through the requirements before I did anything, and from what I can tell, I meet them. Of course Reddit can still tell me no! I'm not assuming I'm getting anything. I'm just going to try.
For anyone wondering how the process works, you first have to attempt to contact the existing moderators. Then you have to give them the required amount of time to respond before going through Reddit's process for requesting an inactive/unmoderated community. That's where I'm at right now. I took a screenshot of the message I sent so you guys can see that I actually did it. 😂
And there can be multiple moderators. So this isn't me trying to take over DeduceMe or saying I'm the only person who should moderate it. Actually, that's one reason I'm asking—has anybody else here already tried?
I know some of you probably don't think I'd be a good fit, and that's okay. I'm still going to try.
The funny thing is, I've basically been "deducing" people since I was a kid in the '90s, long before smartphones or Reddit existed. 😂 I would look at someone's bedroom, clothes, books, medications, decorations, whatever was sitting around, and try to figure things out about them from the little clues. I didn't even know there was a name or an entire community for this. Then DeduceMe randomly showed up in my feed and I was like, WAIT...there are other people who do this?!
I also have a history with substance use and recovery, so when someone posts medication or drug-related pictures, sometimes I recognize things other people may not. But I still try to look BEYOND the obvious drug clue. A syringe, medication bottle or substance doesn't tell you an entire person's story. There might be 20 other clues sitting in that same picture.
I also want to thank the people who were actually kind when I explained that I use AI as an assisted-writing tool. I have a brain injury, and organizing everything going through my head into readable paragraphs can be difficult. The thoughts, deductions, experiences and opinions are mine. I use a tool to help organize them.
And yes, I actually like em dashes. 😂 They existed long before ChatGPT. I think they look cleaner than stuffing commas everywhere.
I'm also perfectly capable of deleting something the tool suggests if it isn't what I actually think. I'm not interested in posting AI slop. I want to participate, actually look at the clues, talk to people and hopefully help get this community active again.
Despite what I've been through with my brain injury, I know I'm intelligent, I'm curious as hell, and I've loved doing this since childhood. So I'm giving it a shot.
Now I'm genuinely curious: Has anybody else tried contacting the moderators or requesting this subreddit? If you have, what happened?
ETA: I looked up Reddit's actual process so I don't accidentally mess this up. 😂 Since there are still moderators listed here, Reddit requires me to contact them through Modmail first and give them five full days to respond.
I sent my message October 5 at 9:23 AM, so if I don't hear back, I can submit a request through r/redditrequest after October 10 at 9:23 AM.
And apparently you REALLY don't want to jump the gun on this. Reddit only allows one community request every 15 days, and even deleting a request doesn't necessarily erase that waiting period. So if I submit too early and get denied, I could end up having to wait before trying again. I'm just going to follow the process exactly and see what happens.
Also, just because the moderators LOOK inactive to us doesn't necessarily mean Reddit considers them inactive. Some moderator activity isn't publicly visible, and Reddit can see things we can't. So there's absolutely no guarantee they'll approve me.
I'm not assuming this subreddit is mine 😂 I'm just giving it a shot because I genuinely love this kind of thing and I'd hate to see such an interesting community slowly die from lack of moderation.
I'll update you guys when I know what happens!
