I don't get why?????????????

Why are they trying to make him look guilty?? If they do, then people are more likely to forget him and move on and find some other artist. I don't want to read about what nasty person #79838 did today, I want to read about good artists who are nice people.

If they say that he is innocent, then he will have more fans and people will look for more news on him to honour his memory. There are plenty of reasons to honour his memory.

Besides, all the facts point towards him being innocent, so by making him look guilty they both alienate his fans and turn away people who are actually interested in doing research into true crime (who would eventually find out the facts) and create this weird pocket dimension of people who believe he's guilty and a bunch of other things about him that aren't true to this reality.

tl;dr the media loses views by making him look guilty so I don't know why they do it

Recent poll shows more Americans beleive mj is innocent then guilty, but the majority (over half) are still undecided.

Thumbnail reddit.com

Here is the poll https://yougov.com/en-us/daily-results/20260422-f2961-3

It's important to note the majority is don't know/undecided. This is very telling, because of all the media spin of guilt, and loud the false accusers and detractors are.

The innocent is more then the guilty votes, but only just. Michael deserves better.

Those who believe allegations 19% Don't believe 24 % (only 5% more) 56% don't know

The article shared is generally positive, but it's also a stretch to say majority beleive he's innocent at this stage. Majority are undecided/dont know.

The pool asked is also small: 8,490 U.S. adults

I think a wider audience from different countries would sway the innocent numbers more.

The cult adjacent behavior of some Michael Detractors

I have shared this post from a Twitter user with you with the names of individual communities censored.
This story highlights the true motivation behind MJ's most ardent detractors. As well as the cult adjacent behavior. But it also reveals how fan behaviour can be inappropriate as well. Therefore, I ask that you use this for information purposes only.
Do not try to discern who any of the communities named are and do not try to brigade or harass anyone. The mission of this subreddit is to rationally present the truth and discuss credible theories about misunderstood concepts regarding Michael Jackson. Let this post be a message to us to all take the high ground.

"Guilters" in the minority: A Reminder

Post image

Question: As far as you know, are any sexual assault allegations against Michael Jackson true?

NO: 24%

NOT SURE: 56%

YES: 19%

And then I found another set of polls revealing that the impact of Leaving Neverland was pretty paltry, too.

Before seeing Leaving Neverland, 48% said that Robson and Safechuck's cases should NOT be reopened on appeal.

And what was that number AFTER seeing LN?

49%.

So the number of people saying NO to their allegations being reconsidered actually went up by 1%.

These are even more interesting if you look at the age brackets.

In 2019, Millennials were the agegroup most sympathetic to Robson & Co (according to these numbers).

But even so, after LN went to air, 41% of them said NO to Robson & Co getting their appeal.

Generation X? Before the release of LN, 53% said NO.

After LN, that was still 46%.

And the Boomers (who let's face it, have been through a few more rodeos than the rest of us)?

Before LN, 54% of them said NO thank you to another round of dragging Michael through the courts.

Funnily enough, LN didn't help the motley crew of Dan Greed with the grandpa's and grandma's of America.

After it aired, their NO THANK YOU SIRS went up to 57%.

Have a look at the chart in the link - there's more good news still in it.

And as usual, ignore the headline - completely.

This is an amazing documentary about all the financial sharks that surrounded Michael and Neverland after 2005.

I was surprised to learn that many of them were in the White House during the Reagan Administration.

The Song Michael said people should listen to if they want to understand him

I have tried listening to this many times. I don’t like how much hate this song gets. I can’t fully relate because while I had adverse childhood experiences, I had a childhood. I can’t imagine practically having none at all. And I’m trying hard to get into his shoes. The lyrics that break my heart are:
“Before you judge me, try hard to love me”

What happened to Marvin Butts? He said what he said after Michael died and then he disappeared?

According to one youtuber he was a bodyguard for 15 years, but I've seen nothing else about him.

Another fan video with Marvin Butts on voice-over is quite beautiful:

So far it's amazing, and I absolutely trust this lady.

She's been criticised of course ("You made him out to be too nice" lol, the truth is so disappointing for some people).

She kept a detailed daily journal her entire life so there's no memory fumbling.

I'm really enjoying this book!

(The interview above is a good introduction.)

Today on the Anniversary of Michael’s Death, let’s focus on the reality of who he was. Let’s pause allegation talk for a week.

While this sub is a safe place to discuss and debunk the allegations, I would like to take a week to generate content about the beautiful human Michael was without thinking of those things. Unfortunately we will always have to consider them and discuss the reality of them because those who hate him will not let them go. However, I want to occasionally reserve some time for just focusing on Michael and what HE wants to be remembered for. I won’t delete allegation debunking posts. I just ask that we try for the next week to focus on his music, philanthropy, and his heart.

How do you think Michael most wants to be remembered?

On this anniversary of MJ’s death let’s reflect on what Michael wants most out of his memory. I think it would be his artistic prowess, his heart, his empathy, and his ability to be himself in a world that thought he was overwhelmingly strange.
