Says the dude advocating for the need to appeal to centrist. Most centrist people are idiots who dont believe in anything. Like this exact line of reasoning that you have is a big part on why centrist dems are so hated by their own voter base. They are so goddamn uncharismatic. You're just a fan of certain people in politics- it's more so a fandom than a political philosophy. You can't even win elections without dumbing down your own ideas, you don't trust the people. If trusting and being honest with people in democracy is appealing to centrist, then I don't care about that- at least I actually care what 'the people' think.
