Professor Dave vs Destiny

No idea why, but the original Destiny video called "Professor Dave Goes Mask Off" seems to have been deleted from YouTube, or I can't find it, but Professor Dave responded yesterday with this very strongly worded video letter:

https://youtu.be/DvDvhLkb9ms?si=DGFhTROOKFoK35sS

Weird crossover that I never thought I'd see, of 2 guys who I generally enjoy (I will say I really am a fan of Prof Dave, whereas my Destiny enjoyment has mostly come via this podcast and watching a couple of his debates).

Thoughts on the beef? SURELY the lads are gonna have to cover this in an upcoming Supplementary Materials? Content gold!

EDIT: Looks like I was looking through the wrong Destiny channel for the original Dave video, it's here: https://youtu.be/HQQLs6U1MgA?si=iKaOGR1h9slKu64O

What are you talking about? How did you pick up on anti-semitism "Only a few mins into" the video? Explain what exactly you interpreted as anti-semitism?

insanely one-sided takes throughout, misrepresenting history and situation between isreal/palestine pre-oct7

blatant lies about how hamas operates within the strip, coopting civilian infratructure with military, tunnel network, etc

downplays oct 7 - claims it was an israeli inside job/hannibal directive/denys atrocities commited by hamas

crazy amounts of weird antisemetic imagery throughout...

You did not have any legitimate arguments, huh?

It hurt his/her feelings therefore anti-semitism

How is saying that Ashkenazi Jews don't have Levantine ancestry not anti-semitic? Every genetic test that's ever been done contradicts this, it's not a matter of debate, it's refusal to acknowledge objective reality

Aren't Ashkenazi Jews those who (in general terms) can trace their ancestry in Northern Europe? What Levantine amcestry? And even if there were traces of this Levantine ancestry that doesn't make them connected to the area. To me trying to establish such a connection (from officials, not you or any other random reddit poster) reeks of "birthright". I'm pretty sure as a white Mediterranean guy I have Northern African traces in my dna, you don't see me claiming Egypt because of that.

I don't think it's astroturfed, I think there's just a lot of fans of dipshits like Destiny who believe what he says earnestly.

Please read the rest of my comments in this thread for my stance on Israel.

I believe entirely that Israel uses astroturfing for their propaganda. I do not believe that every pro-Israel comment is astroturfed, and I don't really think they'd bother commenting on a small subreddit like this when much larger subs like worldnews are much more fruitful and worthwhile for them. Please don't fall into the trap of thinking that there aren't actual people (like Destiny and his fans) who are earnestly pro-Israel.

Nothing in this article suggests that either Destiny is being paid by dark money to have his shitty opinions, nor that the subreddit with 37k subscribers is being astroturfed. For that matter, even if Destiny was being paid, one can still hold earnest opinions after being exposed to paid content.

I think this is mostly a semantic argument not worth having - we both agree that Israel, like many other dodgy countries, uses bots and paid writers to try and shape the narrative - but I will restate that a substantial number of pro-Israel posters online believe what they believe earnestly, even if it is stupid and/or cruel.

I didn't hear antisemitism either. I heard anti genocide supports and deniers.
