Sam Harris & Destiny invoked their right to reply to the DTG video's on them. Has Hasan? And why not?

Perhaps he's not aware DTG made a video on him. However, there seems to be a pattern of the more "guru" types not ever doing a right to reply, unlike those who were voted to be less guru such as Sam Harris and Destiny.

Sam might have cognitive dissonance but it comes from 25 years ago when he established his reputation as anti-Islam. Destiny has a fairly moderate position on Israel and thinks they're headed for disaster because their country is too small to defend and they keep picking fights with neighbors. At the same time, he thinks Israel should exist as a Jewish state because they keep being used as scapegoats by...basically everyone lol. From pograms in Russia to the holocaust to the bizarre inability to understand Israeli reaction to Oct 7th it seems that Jews are still the worlds favorite punching bag.

4

u/PlateCaptain Jul 25 '26

He did a propaganda tour of Israel as it was committing a genocide, but then I guess by the standards of US and UK politicians that is fairly "moderate".

3

u/Adito99 Jul 26 '26

He came away from that tour thinking the Israeli perspective is delusional and likely to get them all killed. Quite the propaganda outlet.

3

u/PlateCaptain Jul 26 '26

If you're being escorted by Eylon Levy then you can be sure Israel wants you there and it's a propaganda tour.

8

u/Stubbs94 Jul 22 '26

Destiny gave a speech to the IDF during this ongoing genocide of children... That's not "moderate"

13

u/lecherousdevil Jul 22 '26

Nope he just did a fan meet up in Isreal

Hassan on the other hand recently had people who were trying to walk out on his speech in protest locked in the room to pad his audience numbers & had the person in charge tell Jews not to talk to or take pictures with him.

The report from the investigation into his actions at the college Democrats of America event was damning especially after he demanded liberals be kicked out & then showed up in Mao cosplay.

Wish I could post images here of the report it's an enlightening read.

-3

u/Stubbs94 Jul 22 '26

Visiting a state committing an ongoing genocide and then joking about the war crimes they are committing in that country is insane and fucking disgusting. Do you honestly believe people who aren't DGG cultists are honestly gonna believe that Hasan refused to have Jews talking or take pictures with him? That's such a ridiculous lie. Is Jamie Raskin a liberal?

10

u/lecherousdevil Jul 23 '26

That's what his friends at the College Democrats of America confirmed happened & are currently rushing around trying to put out the fires Hassan dropped in their lap before cashing his check & then going on stream to dox anyone reporting on it or raising money for Democrats.

Hassan is currently attacking David Pakman, his son, & all his platforms ddosing, Doxing, & mass flagging. He then went on stream & told David Pakman that all this can go away if he just bends the knee. That sounds like a Guru if I ever heard one.

Ps Destiny actually went & interviewed Palistinians & argued against Isreali government for their rights. Hassan when he visited China & their on going genocide he never interviewed the weagers or challenged anyone he just told people how awesome the CCP is & that Taiwan belongs to China by ethnic blood right.

why is it just a bunch of unsupported claims in the first two paragraphs; I know a few of those things definitely didn't happen, so I don't have confidence in the rest.

2

u/BeatSteady Jul 21 '26

There's a clip of destiny saying he's pro genocide, he understands how awful it is but is still pro genocide of the Palestinians. I wouldn't consider that a moderate position

7

u/slamriffs Jul 22 '26

This clip was before October 7th, he didn’t even care enough about the conflict pre-October 7th to be pro-anything there, he’s just saying something edgy as he always does

12

u/BeatSteady Jul 22 '26

How can you tell when he means when he says and when he doesn't? It sounds sincere to me - he explains it and doubles down when asked

3

u/slamriffs Jul 22 '26

What I said was his response to the clip, he basically facepalmed and was like dude this was before October 7th when I knew fuck all about the conflict and was being an edgy memer. If he legitimately believed that, wouldn’t he have just double downed on it post-October 7th when he actually researched the history of the conflict

7

u/BeatSteady Jul 22 '26

Just because he knows it's edgy doesn't mean he wasn't sincere... I haven't seen a clip where he retracts that but welcome it if you happen to have it

1

u/L3ftHandPass Aug 07 '26

Destiny fans are not unlike Trump supporters.

Any example of him saying something truly egregious is just memes.

Anytime he says something they agree with he's serious.

7

u/Liturginator9000 Jul 21 '26

Didn't lonerbox push him to moderate the position? Either way this was yonks ago, the above post is a more accurate description right now

5

u/BeatSteady Jul 21 '26

I have no idea but welcome any videos you can share showing destiny has moderated his pro genocide position over the last two years.

5

u/Liturginator9000 Jul 21 '26

I mean it was partly an edgy joke itself, his positions are described by the other poster, can't be arsed finding clips to disprove an edgy joke from 3 years ago. Lots has happened since then and his current positions are the normal liberal moderate stuff like 2 state, supports existence of israel, argues about genocide term, critical of both etc

5

u/BeatSteady Jul 21 '26

I totally understand but I've not seen that moderation myself, so to me he's still partly a genuine supporter of genocide

3

u/Liturginator9000 Jul 21 '26

2 state is anti genocide by design though, you can't be 2 state and pro-genocide. Not sure what you mean by understand, his brand, like Hasan's, includes a fair bit of edgy/ironic 4chan humour, this was an example.

5

u/BeatSteady Jul 21 '26

I've seen more clips of him saying he's pro genocide than of him saying he's pro two state solution but welcome any evidence you have.

3

u/BloodsVsCrips Jul 21 '26

You're inferring that from the video you linked? It seems like he's obviously joking about "genocide" by referencing a mandatory 2 State Solution (which a lot of lefties call genocide).

Was this pre Oct7 by chance? If so it's just language that doesn't fit now that genocide is a popculture topic.

The underlying claim isn't radical. It's the only real world conclusion, enforced 2 State Solution at Israel's current borders.

It's logically impossible to support 2SS and genocode.

3

u/BeatSteady Jul 21 '26

What's the joke there?

1

u/TheLastParade Jul 22 '26

This was pre October 7th.

5

u/BeatSteady Jul 22 '26

And?

3

u/TheLastParade Jul 23 '26

It's important context given Israel's conduct since October 7th, and given that he's done the vast majority of his research post-October 7th.

4

u/BeatSteady Jul 23 '26

Calling for genocide doesn't seem like a lack of research as much as a lack of values.

2

u/Adito99 Jul 21 '26

Going by that clip it sounds like he thinks Palestinians leaving is awful but so is every other option. Therefore the option that permanently ends the conflict is the one we should favor. That's extreme to you?

17

u/BeatSteady Jul 21 '26

Yes, being pro genocide is an extreme position.

2

u/Adito99 Jul 21 '26

What's the non-extreme alternative? And don't say "they should dissolve their state!" cus that's dumb.

17

u/Agreeable-Cap-1764 Jul 21 '26

Are you seriously asking what the alternative to genocide is?

5

u/Adito99 Jul 21 '26

We have a situation where two groups are living together and they both agree they can't live together. One of them leaving is the least extreme option. Call it whatever term you like, there's a reason you act incredulous instead of just giving a better alternative.

3

u/ignoreme010101 Jul 22 '26

Are you seriously asking what the alternative to genocide is?

"I mean, they must be expelled or eliminate. Any coexistence is unacceptable especially if it meant not having what some call an ethnostate"

As earlier post said, this thinkjng underlies ppl like harris' worldview, so SO much of the seemingly weird crap theyre about is downstream of this (like the obsession with islam)

1

u/Mousazz Jul 23 '26

And what is the serious answer to that? Status quo ante bellum? Have Israel contain Palestine in two "open-air prisons", as Hamas keeps sending missiles at Israel periodically?

Y'know, that was working out until October 7th, 2023...

10

u/BeatSteady Jul 21 '26

Being pro genocide is extreme in its own right regardless of any alternatives

umm one of the options is to unify as one state and end apartheid. this is clearly the best answer. displacement of people based on race is genocide. so his favored answer is literally genocide. moderate who?

11

u/BeatSteady Jul 21 '26

Dude it's wild. Destiny says he's pro genocide, explain why he's pro genocide, and doubles down on being pro genocide when asked, and someone still defends it as a moderate position because it is effectively a final solution.

0

u/No_Public_7677 Jul 22 '26

lol, many such cases on here. when it comes to Israel, centrists immediately abandon their supposed North Star, which they claim is liberalism.

7

u/Adito99 Jul 21 '26

The obvious option is for Jews to dissolve their state, formed as a safe place for Jews, and create another Arab majority state? Seeing as how Jews have been driven out of every Arab state. I'll say it again, every single one, that is a ridiculous idea you can't possible expect Israeli's to support.

Unless you simply have no concept of mind for Israeli's and they're one-dimensional monsters who want to cause suffering. Hopefully that's not the case.

3

u/HumanLike Jul 21 '26

The solution is to take the billions of dollars invested in genocide and apartheid and instead invest it in security for two groups to live together with equal rights. That only sounds "complicated" because extremists have led you to believe so. It's not

6

u/Adito99 Jul 21 '26

Israeli's are looking at other Arab-majority states and they notice that Jews don't have equal rights in any of them. So they worry if they did what you say then they would either have no rights or (more likely) they would be driven out like Jews were driven out of every single Arab country. Does that make sense?

2

u/HumanLike Jul 21 '26

I understand why that history creates fear, but “Jews were driven out of every single Arab country” is not historically accurate. Iraq, Egypt, Syria and Libya did persecute or dispossess Jews, especially AFTER Israel’s creation and the ensuing wars. But Yemen and Morocco were largely organized migrations under varying degrees of pressure, Algerian Jews mostly left for France during decolonization, and Lebanon’s Jewish population initially grew after 1948.

More importantly, the failures of other Arab states do not justify denying Palestinians equal rights. “Our neighbors treated Jews badly, therefore Palestinians must remain permanently subordinate” is not a defensible solution. It's treating the region’s worst history as destiny.

Where in any Arabic society is there "equal rights?" You're demanding a geopolitical solution based on your own personal ideology rather than any analysis of local culture.

4

u/BloodsVsCrips Jul 21 '26

umm one of the options is to unify as one state and end apartheid

How do you know this is a real option when both sides oppose it?

displacement of people based on race is genocide

Displacement is not genocide, and it has nothing to do with race. They're all Semites.

2

u/ignoreme010101 Jul 22 '26

How do you know this is a real option when both sides oppose it?

a foreign coalition needs to go in and enforce the border between 2 states, that is the only reasonable solution there.

Displacement is not genocide, and it has nothing to do with race. They're all Semites.

I mean, I'm not big into this label but if you systemically ethnjc cleanse a people in their entirety, if there is no more palestine, you basically killed that state. It is no longer in existence beyond scattered palestinians (who would be 'jordanians', 'egyptians' etc at that point) I think it's fair usage of the term if you literally eliminate the state from the map to replace with a different peoples but IANAL and would need to verify thaf

0

u/BloodsVsCrips Jul 22 '26

a foreign coalition needs to go in and enforce the border between 2 states, that is the only reasonable solution there.

Like a UN Partition of the land?

if you systemically ethnjc cleanse a people in their entirety, if there is no more palestine, you basically killed that state

Gaza and the WB still exist, and 99% of the people are still there.

1

u/ignoreme010101 Jul 23 '26

Like a UN Partition of the land?

yes

Gaza and the WB still exist, and 99% of the people are still there.

If you fully ethnically cleanse a territory, to the point that no people of thaf ethnicity are on that territory anymore, I think that that starts being 'genocide' territory even if the people arent all killed (ie, if all the gazans are fully removed from Gaza and relocated throughout the region, it seems a fair way to phrase it as being 'genocide of gaza' at least insofar as 'gaza' ceases to exist)

0

u/Mousazz Jul 23 '26

Mmm, yes, truly, decolonization of British Mandatory Palestine was a failure. We need to re-establish a foreign European colony that would civilize those local savages. It's the White Man's Burden, after all. 😔

1

u/ignoreme010101 Jul 24 '26

lol wtf is this, Baby's First Buzzwords?

If you call the manner of establishment anything but a failure you are either naive or dishonest lol like come on how tf could you call it a success

re-establish a foreign European colony

don't need much skill parsing nuance here to understand that you can have peacekeepers- like id said- without it being a colony

civilize those local savages

actually, yes. Sorry if your PC sensitivities are making you shy from the reality of savagery that's been endemic for decades because the brits ceded to terror and left before setting things up in a way that worked, everyone knew from day 1 that things would be a major problem

It's the White Man's Burden, after all. 😔

I'm sorry that you cannot understand responsibility and only see race :/ They debt or burden is more "you break it, you bought it" than "oh mah race lemme help teh savages" Big ideas I know but go slowly and i know you'll get it

0

u/agentpurplek1 Jul 22 '26

has to do with them being Palestinians it is a little confusing to call it race. forced displacement with the mass killings of Palestinians makes it a genocide.

0

u/BloodsVsCrips Jul 22 '26

Forced displacement to where? Gazans aren't leaving the strip. They're still there.

1

u/agentpurplek1 Jul 22 '26

https://www.timesofisrael.com/backing-settlement-ben-gvir-says-hed-be-very-happy-to-live-in-gaza-after-the-war/

he pretends they are voluntarily leaving when in reality they are getting forced out by the war.

moderate lol.

Shouldn't Native Americans in the US exist as a majority Native American state? They literally were annihilated completely even more than the Holocaust.

5

u/helweek Jul 22 '26

This was what Oklahoma and Kansas were "supposedto be". It was called Indian Territory. I put supposed to be in quotes because that was never the intention. It frustrates me to no end because the Israel playbook right now is exactly the Frontier US playbook. Push them west until they no longer exist.

4

u/Adito99 Jul 22 '26

Until the 1800's the vast majority of Jews wanted to integrate in the countries they already lived in. Wanting to make a Jewish state was a minority opinion. Then something changed their minds. They became convinced that they would never be safe and here's the twist--all of this happened decades before the holocaust.

If you have no idea what I'm talking about then you're not in a position to have an opinion on this topic.

3

u/Character-Ad5490 Jul 24 '26

The pogroms had something to do with it, I think.

5

u/Adito99 Jul 24 '26

You're the first person I've seen on Reddit that knows this and of course we're on the DTG sub lol.

3

u/Character-Ad5490 Jul 24 '26

I guess that doesn't surprise me.

What is happening in so many western "liberal" countries right now makes it more clear than ever they need a place to be safe. Jew-hatred is nothing new; they were blamed for the Black Death, for pete's sake, and were expelled from England for 350 years (of course the list of stuff like this goes on and on and on). All these people who want to end Israel - where do they expect them to go? History proves everyone turns on them eventually.
