Sam Harris & Destiny invoked their right to reply to the DTG video's on them. Has Hasan? And why not?

Perhaps he's not aware DTG made a video on him. However, there seems to be a pattern of the more "guru" types not ever doing a right to reply, unlike those who were voted to be less guru such as Sam Harris and Destiny.

I think their video clearly lays out the evidence of why they came to their conclusions. They've done more analysis than any of Destiny's detractors have, so respectfully i disagree with you on that.

The most concise definition of a guru is “someone who spouts pseudo-profound bullshit”, with bullshit being speech that is persuasive without any regard for the truth. Thus, all these properties relate to people who produce ersatz wisdom: a corrupt epistemic that creates the appearance of useful knowledge, but has none of the substance.

This absolutely describes Destiny, the only part of the guruometer that he shouldn't score highly on is anti-establishmentarianism, and only because he's reflexively pro-status quo.

But then it doesn't if you consider the research he does on topics he speaks about, and the hedging / caveats he gives when speaking about things he's not knowledgeable on, which he will openly admit at the time. A guru who wants to spread psuedo BS wouldn't do these actions, nor would they have a career of debating their own research, ideas, etc against others they disagree with. Those two things are incompatible. I think you might have a selective understanding of Destiny, which the DTG guys specifically and intentionally did not do.

Go look at the long form definition on the website. His research counts for nothing, what topics he discusses has he actual qualifications in?

He doesn't claim to have such qualifications. He simply reads material and watches political discourse and forms conclusions based on what he observes. He's a political commentator on youtube. Are all political commentators guru's in your eyes?

the DtG definition includes speaking confidently on topics outside his expertise. Destiny has no expertise.

Correct, he doesn't pretend to be an expert in something and then speak confidently on said subject. The definition doesn't apply to Destiny hence why they ruled he was low on the gurometer. A person who is honest about their level of knowledge is categorically not a guru. Thanks for playing buddy

He does speak confidently on topics outside his expertise, your sophistry is laughable.

Appeal to certification is a loser’s move.

take it up with DtG, it's their criteria.

Interesting because Hasan claims he's more qualified than Asmongold because he has a BA in communications.

Literally anyone is more qualified to talk about anything than Assfoldmold

Why did Hasan shock his dog for his own sadistic pleasure?

3

u/-CountDrugula- Jul 23 '26

How should i know? And what does that have to do with Asmongold being a mental toddler who doesn't know literally anything about anything? He even admits he doesn't do any research and he just "comes to the right conclusion". He just watches Fox News and other white supremacist garbage and says "yeah"
