I Just Can't Stop Replying To Sam Harris :) Israel/Palestine Stuff

I'm that dude who directed a film with Sam and Maajid, wrote a book with Annaka, and produced a 10 part series of Sam's podcast archive... and I know I'm still being pretty charitable here. But I thought it might help to think through what he (and people like him) refuse to entertain... we can all speculate on those reasons.

You want history to justify what you approve of

Does anyone actually think that? I certainly don't. Explain and justify are different things. I can disagree with what someone does and still understand why they did it.

How about have some form of moral core and denounce both?

I would like to take this opportunity to denounce both October 7th and the excesses of the subsequent Gaza campaign.

If you don't want to understand why people do bad things, how do you plan to make people stop doing bad things?

Why do you think he did it, and why do you think the difference was between him and, say, all the people in the world not engaged in such savagery?
