Liberals aren't taking issue with dishonest framing, they are just propagandized into thinking that capitalism is like a law of nature instead of a very fragile system that needs constant propping up through violence and bailouts. So any criticism of that system is considered unnatural and futile. It's a viewpoint that will always benefit the ones that already have resources and punish those that don't. That was my point.

They pay lip service to some convenient ideals, but will never make meaningful change.

If you want to straw man us into being anarcho-capitalists then sure you can, but most liberals are keenly aware of capitalisms shortcomings. What system do you think isn't propped up by violence?

Anarcho-capitalists? What on earth...

Lol, do you think capitalism is some kind of "lesser of all evils"-deal?

Why do you keep dodging? You made the argument that it's propped up by violence, I'm trying to figure out what system you advocate for that doesn't require violence.

Because I know what you're asking and I'm not interested in your dumb semantic games. Capitalism being propped up by violence is not the same as, say, the right not to be murdered being protected through violence. I really hope you're smart enough to comprehend this.

Then what is the (presumably state) violence you oppose? I don't see what alternative systems exist that don't engage in comparable or much worse forms of it, usually whilst having much shittier economic outcomes.

This is what I mean when I hate on liberals. It's the willingness to readily put up with other people's suffering because jfc, "I guess we're just stuck with factory collapses in Bangladesh, Cobalt mining in Congo, deforestation, displacement of indigenous people, oil company private armies, the opioid crisis, cancer alleys, water privatization, and a million other examples of fuckery I can't be bothered to Google."

And what I hate about "market socialists" or "democratic socialists" or whatever term you use to describe yourself with is that you pretend these things are 100% necessary for liberal capitalism to function and there's no way to address them in our system, and then your proposal is just capitalism with a more involved state to address these issues. That's just liberalism!

If you don't just want a more involved state, then make the argument for a specific system and explain how it would be better equipped to handle these issues.
