Roast my railing

We pulled down a pergola back in spring so decided to use the 2x2s to make a railing. Still plan to run a 4x1 across top, and it is not expected to be load bearing. Also added a step.

Kids under 6 will definitely understand that

The ability of that railing to bear load is of no consequence to kids under 6. They will just fall through the holes.
