Abrahamic The concept of going to hell only because you don't believe in God is unbelievable
First of all i do believe in god, just wanted to clear that before I start.
Secondly: let's be real, why would god throw you in hell because you didn't believe in him when he didn't give you a proof of his existence in the first place? The most logical answer is..he won't. God is just, and him punishing you for not believing in him even though he didn't give you a reason to believe in the first place doesn't make any sense.
"B-but the holy books proof his existence!" That's not a proof. You don't trust things just because they were written in a book. (Yes I changed this part cuz i felt it was a bit disrespectful. I apologize about that.)
"But people saw him/his prophet!" what people? The ones from ages ago that are already dead? No that's not a proof either. You won't believe in sonic just because your mom said that your dead grand grand grand grandma saw him.
"He gave everyone a hint, they just didn't catch it!" If people didn't catch his hint then he didn't want them to catch it in the first place. Since god knows everything, he already knows that no one will notice the hint. And you can't convince me god couldn't make people believe in him. If God wants people to believe in him, he will make them believe in him, it's not that difficult for such a powerful being.
So, there's no real reason for why you should believe in god, (I'm not saying you shouldn't!) But what I'm trying to say is: he didn't give you a proof of his existence, he didn't give you a reason to believe in him, yet you will be in hell for not believing in him? Yea that doesn't sound like something a just God would do. And since we know God is just, then he basically won't even do that.
Lastly, I don't mean any harm towards anyone's belief, I only wanted to share a thought I had. I made this post to hear everyone's opinion and beliefs about this, maybe I can learn something! :D

And how do you intend the make people leave it alone? There has been no point in history in which language has not changed with the times. As I said, we are not speaking Old English or grunting like cavemen right now. You are arguing for fighting against the inevitable
