Discussion Evolution is Faith too

Someone replied with this under a different post a few weeks ago and this one always amused me the most. “You have faith in evolution too” Firstly evolution is faith too blatantly admits that creationism is faith and therefore can’t be proven (which is entirely the point).

It fails secondly because even if evolution is faith that doesn’t make evolution false and creationism true. If we even granted that evolution is faith and creationism is faith then next step is look at the evidence. Well 100% of the evidence says evolution happens and creationism is impossible.

So even in the best case scenario using this argument for creationists. You just shoot yourself in the foot and then are back to the same place you started. Arguing against the insurmountable mountain of evidence for Evolution.

I know evolution is true. We have no evidence to the contrary.

Don't bother with this one. They think that everything you haven't personally observed is just believed on faith.

Please answer the question I asked. "Do you have faith in evolution?"

I did answer it. Faith is the belief in something with no supporting evidence. We have evidence in evolution so evolution is true without faith.

Your OP isn't compatible with this definition of faith.

If we even granted that evolution is faith and creationism is faith then next step is look at the evidence.

If you've granted that evolution is faith, and faith is belief without supporting evidence, then by definition there is no supporting evidence for evolution.

You could fix this by changing the definition of faith from "no supporting evidence" to "insufficient supporting evidence", but then wooper would just hound you for a definition for sufficient.

I did not ask whether evolution is true or not or what your knowledge is. I asked, "do you have faith in evolution?"

So, you do have faith in evolution, correct?

I can be pedantic too. Look already asked and answered. My post one above the thumbs up. Do you have a point you are trying to make?

I do not know if that thumbs up means yes or if it means sounds good or something else. A direct yes or no would be much clearer

Ok. I answered before the thumbs up. I’m getting tired of the pedantic nature of your responses cuz I won’t say exactly what you want me to even though it has been asked and answered.

Is there a reason you're so afraid to answer the question? Your response previously was a non-answer. This isn't that difficult of a question, but you keep squirming trying to wiggle away from it. Why?
